Warriors-Whisper of Dawn: Stormy Redemption

Chapter 4

*Leappaw's POV*

I was currently patrolling the territory close to the ShadowClan border with my mentor, Blossomheart. We had scented a fox on our territory, most likely the one Squirrelstar mentioned during the Gathering, and we wanted to make sure that it didn't head into ShadowClan's territory.

So far, we haven't scented the fox anywhere along the border.

But we did scent what I was told were Twolegs. But it could have been Twolegs that needed peace and quiet or something like that.  Zeldaheart told me her old Twolegs tended to do that. But Blossomheart was worried they might be catnapping Twolegs, which caused me to start worrying about that as well.

We reached where the border meets the lake when we spotted Duskpaw and his mentor, Snaketooth, heading to the border as well.

When we were close enough, I saw that Duskpaw was really wet for some reason.

'Did he fall into the lake?' I wondered as we went up to them.

"What are you two doing here? Didn't the ShadowClan border patrol already did the scent marks?" Blossomheart asked the two ShadowClan cats.  "Dogs were spotted close to the RiverClan border. So we thought we should warn, you just in case." Snaketooth explained to us.

While our mentors talked to each other, Duskpaw told me about the Twolegs he saw today. As well as Rainpaw's reaction.

"Do you really think she's hiding something from everyone?" I asked him.

"You saw how she reacted when the latest prophecy from StarClan mentioned 'Twins of Time', as well as the name of the cat who delivered the prophecy. And she reacted in a similar way when I mentioned the Twolegs names." Duskpaw explained to me. "Though I do want to know how I was able to understand them."

"The prophecy also said that six cats granted powers from beyond are the only ones who can stop the Clan of Blood and the Twin of Time. Maybe you're one of the six cats that's going to stop them and being able to understand Twolegs is your power." I said to him.

"You really think so?"

I nodded my head before our mentors told us it was time to return to our camps.

"see ya tonight." He said to me in a hush whisper before returning to his mentor's side. I nodded my head before I did the same.

~That Night~

I was currently on the Gathering island with Rainpaw, whose fur is still wet from swimming here, Duskpaw, and Waffledawn waiting for Brookestream and Hawkpaw.

I decided that we should confront Rainpaw to see if she knew who are the Twins of Time and the First Spinjitzu Master. As well as if she has a connection to the Twolegs Duskpaw saw.

'If she does, why does she hide it? And what is her connection? And does she not want to tell anyone who the Twins of Time and the First Spinjitzu Master is because she's worried that Beestar, Mothwing, and Frostdawn will make her a medicine cat apprentice?' I wondered as I looked at the RiverClan cat.

It was then that the WindClan warrior cat the StormClan apprentice finally arrived.

"So between every full moon and half moon you all meet here? Behind the Clans' backs?" She asked us.

We all nodded our heads before he started asking each other if anything strange happened to anyone else besides Duskpaw. But so far, the ShadowClan tom was the only one that had anything strange happen to him.

"So.... If that's it, can we go home now? I don't want to be caught sneaking back into camp with wet fur so close to my final assessment." Rainpaw said as she got up, ready to leave.

But the rest of us, except for Hawkpaw, blocked her.

"We're actually not done yet." Duskpaw said.

"What do you mean?" She asked us, looking really nervous. Hawkpaw looked curious about what was going on.

"You know who the Twins of Time and the First Spinjitzu are. And you seem to have some kind of connection to the Twolegs Duskpaw saw today. And we just want to know why and how." I said to her.

"We all promise we won't tell anyone. We just want to know what you're hiding." Duskpaw said to her.

Rainpaw hesitated for a few moments until she finally decided to speak.

"You know how Dovewing, Jayfeather, and Lionblaze are the reincarnations of Dove's Wing, Jay's Wing, and Lion's Roar of the Ancients and Cinderheart is the reincarnation of Cinderpelt?" She asked us.

We all nodded our heads, but we were curious about why it has to do with our question.

"I'm also a reincarnation." She said, shocking all of us. "I'm the reincarnation of a male Twoleg named Kai. In that life, I died before my time which led to me being reincarnated. The moment I was born, I had all my memories of my previous life. The First Spinjizu Master is the one who created our world. I was actually friends with his grandson. I was also friends with Griffin and Neuro." She explained to us.

"But who are the Twins of Time?" Waffledawn asked her.

Within an instant, Rainpaw had a look of pure hatred on her face. "The Time Twins. Krux and his younger twin brother, Acronix, used to be part of a group that dedicated their lives to protecting those who can't protect themselves. But then they betrayed them! They've been playing on trying to take over the whole world since my parents in my past life just became adults!" She explained to us.

"Do you, or did you, have a personal grudge against them?" I asked her.

"I did have a grudge against them, especially Krux. And I still do." She growled with her tail lashing. "Some time after the Time Twins were thought to be defeated once and for all, Krux used a disguise to trick my parents in my past life and earn their trust. Then, he threatened to harm me and my little sister in my past life if they didn't do as he said. He took them away from us. I had to practically raise Nya, giving up a normal childhood to do so."

When she finished, we couldn't believe what Rainpaw had to go through in her past life.

"I can't believe you had to go through all of that." Brookestream said as he went to Rainpaw's side to comfort her. I always noticed that, for as long as I've known them, Brookstream has always liked the RiverClan apprentice. But I also noticed that Rainpaw didn't return the feelings.

"I think we should head home now." Hawkpaw said.

The others left until me and Rainpaw were the only ones still on the island. "Okay. What do you want to talk about Leappaw?" She asked me.

"I was wondering," I started to say before pausing a bit to choose the right words. But Rainpaw spoke first "If you want if I'm oblivious to Brookestream's crush on me or not, I do know of it." She then looked up towards the sky. "I'm just not ready to have romantic feelings for anyone yet."

"Why not?"

"In my past life, I was in a romantic relationship with a female Twoleg known as Skylor." She explained to me. "I'm still having a hard time getting over the fact that me and her can never be."

I then stroked her back with my tail to comfort her. "It's okay." I said to her. "Take your time." I said. She smiled at me before we parted ways. "But you're going to have to tell us more about your past life every secret meet up."

She smiled at me. "Okay." She then ran off before leaping into the water. I then started making my way back to ThunderClan.
