"What happened?"
Zhou Zishu walked out of Mingyue's house alone. He saw the two, man and woman were quite tense, looking as if they were ready to get into a fight. With Bai Hua's martial art, even he wasn't sure who would be the winner between Han Ying and Bai Hua if they decided to brawl here.
Han Ying froze. He slowly turned toward his Lord and looked at his face closely. He was afraid if Zhou Zishu would hear what they were saying just now. But, judging from the calm from his Lord's face, it seemed he didn't hear anything just now.
The former Tianchuang's member shook his head and smiled stiffly. "Nothing happened, My Lord."
Zhou Zishu didn't say anything and turned to look at the beautiful woman. He raised an eyebrow, "do you have something to say to me, Miss Bai Hua?"
Bai Hua glanced at Han Ying and saw the man was sending her a warning. She inwardly clicked her tongue and outwardly smiled, "nothing, Lord Zhou. Me and Lord Han were just talking about whether you were going to stay at this village?"
Zhou Zishu went silent.
And Han Ying too, however, he then spoke. "I think it's a good idea for My Lord to stay here. After all, there is already someone with your constitution and I'm sure that would help you a lot, My Lord."
"Indeed. What Lord Han said is correct. We've midwife here who has helped during Mingyue's delivery and she is quite experienced. Also, all of us here already know about the existence of a man who could get pregnant. You won't feel like an outsider here, Lord Zhou." Bai Hua added. She really wanted to help her people's benefactors. "And My Lord could stay at our Hua Village until you delivered the baby." She then said in a quiet voice. "We just want to keep you safe. Same as when you helped us, Lord Zhou."
Han Ying didn't say anything and looked at Zhou Zishu's face. Though, he didn't say anything but inside, he had already agreed with the proposition.
Zhou Zishu finally opened his mouth after he contemplated for a while, "I also think what Miss Bai has said is correct. Then, I'll let Han Ying help you to prepare the accomodation for me."
"Then, you and Lord Han can stay at my house while we get ready a place for you to stay, My Lord. There's an empty house here and ." Bai Hua said excitedly. To be able to help and live with her benefactor in their village would make the villagers happy.
"That would be improper." Zhou Zishu shook his head. Even if he was pregnant, he was still a man and Bai Hua was an unmarried woman.
However, Bai Hua was obstinate and she still brought the two men to her house. Being forced to receive the goodwill, Zhou Zishu finally relented. Her house looked the same as the other villagers. Even though she was considered as the village leader, Bai Hua didn't use the authority to build a good house for herself. After all, in Hua Village, all the villagers were one big family.
Zhou Zishu sat on the chair. After the trip and then walking around the village, he was already tired and hungry. He was about to fall asleep when there was a delicious smell from the kitchen and soon, a hot meal was prepared on the table.
Bai Hua called, "Lord Zhou, Lord Han, the lunch is ready." She then stood, prepared to get out. "If you're tired, you can rest inside the bedroom. I've changed the bedsheet and it's new."
Zhou Zishu immediately called for her. "Miss Bai, you're not having lunch with us?"
"We need to get your place ready before night." Bai Hua smiled and walked away. She stopped by the door, "Also, you don't have to leave food for me. I'll eat at Aunt Shi."
Without being instructed, Han Ying also got out. "I'll help too, My Lord." When he saw that Zhou Zishu wanted to say something. "I'll eat later. I'm not hungry right now."
The Lord of Four Seasons watched the two walk out of the house. He then glanced at the food on the table and felt his stomach grumbling in hunger. Grabbing a pair of chopsticks on the table, Zhou Zishu began eating the food. Because the last time he ate was during breakfast, he was quite famished now. He usually ate snacks in between the meal times but today he didn't eat any snacks.
He began to eat all the food and left a portion of each dish for Han Ying. After eating, Zhou Zishu began to get sleepy. With a stomach full of food, he rubbed his eyes and yawned. He stared at the direction of the bedroom that Bai Hua had shown before. He still didn't feel it appropriate to sleep in an unmarried woman's house even when he was already heavily pregnant.
While contemplating, he finally didn't want to intrude into Bai Hua's house too much and decided to sleep on the chair. He walked to the small living room and found a chair to sit. The chair had arms and there was a cushion on it too. "This will do," he said to himself. Settling himself on the chair, he began drifting to sleep.
"...Lord..."
"My Lord..."
"Wake up... My Lord..."
The voice kept calling him out from his sleep and despite him still wanting to continue sleeping, Zhou Zishu slowly opened his eyes in irritation. He glared at the person who woke him up and saw Han Ying's guilty face.
"My Lord, it's already late afternoon." Han Ying helped the pregnant man adjusted his dishevelled collar and wiped his face with warmed wet cloth to refresh. He knew that Zhou Zishu easily get irritated after waking up but he couldn't help but think the man was adorable.
Zhou Zishu let Han Ying wipe his face and afterward, he looked through the small window. The sun almost set. He stretched his tired body and asked the man. "Have all of you finished?"
Han Ying smiled, "it's done. Just waiting for us to move in." He seemed like he was in a good mood. Even though they would be living in a village full of women.
Zhou Zishu straightened his body and asked in concern. "Have you eaten? I've left the food for you." He paused and looked around. "Where's Miss Bai Hua?"
To be honest, Han Ying had eaten because the villagers wouldn't let him work without eating, however seeing how his Lord had saved food for him... Han Ying shook his head. "I haven't eaten yet. Thank you, my lord."
"Then, eat first." Zhou Zishu urged the man and he stood up, holding his waist in one hand while another rested on his belly. When he saw that Han Ying looked as if he wouldn't eat if Zhou Zishu left the house, he sat back down.
Only then, Han Ying peacefully ate his food.
"Ying'er ah..."
"What's it, my lord?" Han Ying asked. He had just finished his food and sat to rest.
"Am I a burden to you?" Zhou Zishu asked, his tone sounded guilty. He felt as if he forced the man to take care of him during his vulnerable time. After all, he was the one who sought help from Han Ying. The pregnancy didn't help with his emotion and instead amplified it.
Han Ying stood up from his chair and walked to where Zhou Zishu was. Kneeling on the floor in front of the pregnant man, he bowed down as he replied with a solemn manner, "I, Han Ying, has devoted his entire life into following and protecting, My Lord. So, I have never felt a burden or anything. It's my honor to serve My Lord."
