Two loud knocks awoke Rosario from her sleep, she sat up with heart practically thumping in her chest.

The knocking continued forcing her out of bed.

Rosario's mouth went dry at the excessive knocking, the noises became louder and louder in her damn ear ... she finally decided to make her way down the flight of stairs but watched out for Arturo when she crossed the hall and reached the front door.

The knocking turned to loud slams against the door, as if the wood was being hit with an object rather than flesh and bone.

Rosario turned the knob and opened the door.

"Que hay cuñada ..." (Whats up ...) Vicente stood outside with two other men at his side, before allowing Rosario to greet him back he pointed his gun at her head and pulled the trigger.

The echoing sound of a gunshot awoke Rosario from the fatal dream — she flicked her eyes open and let out a sigh of relief and distress while sitting up and running her fingers through her curls

Guess the fear remains.

The telephone resting beside her bed rang making her turn to it, without much hesitation she reached for the telephone "Bueno?" (hello?) she felt guilty while awaiting for Ramon's tone on the other line

"Quiubo? Como me la trata la vida en Tijuana?" (How's tijuana treating you?) Vicente greeted in a laid back manner

Rosario widened her eyes at the familiar voice, her heartbeat picked up and she stood up from the bed tossing the blanket to the side "Vicente ...?"

"Aguas, que no la vayan a oír ..." (Careful, don't want anyone to hear you ...) Vicente replied almost jokingly with a chuckle

"Vicente ..." Rosario's tone softened and she felt immense comfort ... questions were rushing through her mind but she didn't know where to begin, the overwhelm speeding in her veins forced her to bring a hand to her forehead and she found it unavoidable to break down to herself, she was finding it hard to assimilate the fact that Amado was gone

Vicente heard no further sound, he recognized her silence and almost felt bad "Ey ..."(Hey ...) he spoke up through the phone to catch her attention, his voice almost matched Amado making Rosarios situation worse "No me gusta saber que está llorando ... dígame que puedo hacer por usted?" (I don't like knowing you're crying ... what can i do for you?)
