I was shaking my head as I tried to run to my class.
Medyo makulit si Teacher Ella, but she's nice.
I met her when I transferred to FLCD, that time I decided to focus on child development.
Then after graduating three years ago, we were both offered jobs here.
We teach preschool, mainly 3 and 4 year olds.

I have just placed colours and papers on our table when someone knocked at our door.

"Sir Aki "

"Teacher Liza, good morning! I'm sure Teacher Ella has mentioned about your new kid."

I smiled and nodded my head. "Yes, Sir. She did mention this morning"

" I see... this is Ayla. Ayla, meet your home room teacher, Teacher Liza"

I looked at the little girl and I saw her titling her head, as if watching me.

"Teacher Liza...?"

"Yes, Ayla. That's me"

"Hm... hi!"

I smiled and kneeled in front of her so we're of the same eye level. "Hello there, little girl! Would you want to take the seat in front? I'll be with you in a while"

"Ok..."

Then I watched her as she skipped her way to that pink chair near the window.

When I turned to face Sir Aki, I saw that he's looking at me. "Is there anything else, Sir?"

"Uhm... yeah... I'm just wondering whether you're free later. I heard there's a new cafe na nag-open malapit sa school"

I smiled at him, then I whispered, "Oras po ng klase"

He smiled at me, then leaned to whisper to me as well, "kaya po ang sabi ko later... after class?"

I rolled my eyes at him then said, "Rain check, sir. I have a friend who's coming to fetch me later"

"Friend?", he asked, smirking.

"Yup.. friend. Parang ikaw..."

"Ouch! You're really mean, Teacher Liza... really mean"
