Little Miss

I was sitting inside L's car, my mind to Ayla who was waving at me she was being carried by her Dad.
She was all smile at me, and I even saw her Dad kissed her on the cheek as they were walking away.

"A penny for your thought, Miss", I heard L said beside me.

"Oh... sorry. I was just thinking of the new kid. She's really pretty, don't you think?"

"Lahat naman ata saya "pretty""

I grinned. Well, what he said is actually right.
Lahat na lang ng bata cute.

"Ayaw mong subukan? Malay mo?"

"Ha ha! Very funny.."

"Maganda naman genes ko"

I turned to him and grinned.
I appreciate him... i really do.

"I'll let you know pag ready na ako"

He tilted his head at me, raised his eyebrow, as if telling me that I'm making fun of him again.

"I'll hold you to that", he said, but there's a smirk on his lips.

"I won't hold my breath"

"Haha! Sabi ko nga"

I looked behind us, and saw Aki and Miguel were in convoy with us.

"Why are you here?"

"Hm?", he asked, glancing at me, but I knew he heard it the first time I asked.

"Hindi ka busy?", I asked as he's maneuvering the car in the parking lot

"Busy... but I have free time today...."

"Free time, L.. Seriously? Why don't you try to do other things. Hindi yung ginagawa mong kapitbahay tong preschool"

"Yung pre-school talaga e... nami-miss ko kasi yung school", he mumbled, as he's checking his rearview mirror.

"Funny... really funny. Ipagpatuloy mo yan"

"Tsk! Who are you? Where did you bring my friend?"

"L!"

"I'm just happy to see you this carefree. I hope you'll keep that smile. It looks good on you"

I grinned and shook my head to that.
I missed this me.

It might took me awhile, but at least, nandito na ako.
Malayo pa, pero malayo na.

We were walking to the cafe, L's hand on my lower back when I was surprised that someone walked between us- I was so surprised that I almost lost my balance, lucky whoever that guy is held me by the arm to hold me still, but when I turned my head, he was gone.

My eyes were to that direction where the guy went, but then I instantly grabbed L because I somehow am familiar with his temper...
But when I turned to him, I was puzzled when he didn't grab the guy but he was simply standing there, his eyes on that guy's back.

"Hey... you good?", I asked him, while I bent to get my bag which fell down.

Then he turned to look at me, the creased in his forehead was gone and it was instantly replaced by his smirk, as he took my bag from me, and said, "you good?"

"Yeah... "

Aki and Miguel were already inside when we reached the place.
They secured the corner table for four, and Aki came with a tray of drinks.

"I ordered a couple of slices...", Miguel said as he took the seat beside me, I'm guessing he has just finished placing our order.
