The early morning light seeped through the curtains, gently waking me. I reached out with my eyes still closed, expecting to feel Katarina's warmth beside me, but the space was empty. For a moment, I wondered where she had gone, but then I caught the scent of freshly cooked food drifting through the house. A smile crept across my face-Katarina was cooking.

Stretching lazily, I sat up and ran a hand through my hair. Sarap gumising nang ganito-with her in the kitchen, our daughter nearby, and the peace of knowing everything was okay. I stood up, headed for the comfort room, and splashed cold water on my face to fully wake myself.

Once freshened up, I made my way downstairs. The first thing I noticed was Sarang, happily playing in the living room. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of her.

"Good morning, my princess," I said as I walked over, bending down to give her a quick kiss on her head. "Did you sleep well, huh?"

She giggled and nodded, her tiny hands holding onto her toys. I gave her one last kiss before heading to the kitchen where the woman who made my mornings infinitely better was busy at work.

Katarina was standing by the stove, focused on preparing breakfast. Without a second thought, I walked over and wrapped my arms around her from behind, pulling her close.

"Good morning, jagiya," I whispered into her ear, my voice still heavy with sleep, but full of affection.

She jumped slightly but then leaned into me, laughing softly. "Good morning," she replied, turning her head just enough for me to see her smile.

"Smells amazing," I murmured against her neck, planting a kiss there. "But you, you smell even better."

She laughed, playfully swatting at me. "Grabe ka, breakfast muna."

I chuckled, tightening my hold on her for a moment before letting go. "Katarina, I swear, you're spoiling me. I wake up to good food and a beautiful woman in my kitchen. What more could I ask for?"

She turned her head to give me a teasing look. "Sarap ko maging asawa no?"

"Sobra," I grinned, planting another kiss on her cheek before stepping back, watching as she moved around the kitchen with ease, preparing everything for our little family. The sight of her, so natural and at home, made my heart swell. This was all I ever wanted-a peaceful morning, the woman I loved, and our child safe and happy nearby.

Everything felt perfect.

As Nathan and Daniel came down the stairs, I noticed how the smell of freshly cooked food filled the air. The aroma was hard to resist, even for them, as they walked into the kitchen. Daniel rubbed his eyes, grinning, while Nathan yawned and stretched.

"Wow, ang bango ah. Parang someone's having the time of his life this morning," Daniel teased as he eyed me, already smirking like he was onto something.

I chuckled, shaking my head. "Wala, bro, maganda lang talaga ang gising ko."

Nathan leaned against the counter, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Oo nga eh. Medyo narinig pa namin kagabi. Parang masaya ka talaga, ha?"

I cursed under my breath, laughing. "Putangina, wala kayong narinig!"

"Sure ka?" Nathan teased, nudging Daniel, who started laughing as well. "Bro, we heard a lot last night. Grabe, ibang energy yun ah."

I could only laugh with them, though the teasing didn't stop. The atmosphere was lighthearted and filled with laughter as we all settled down for breakfast. Katarina's cooking was exceptional, as always, and Sarang was enjoying her food, smiling and humming in between bites.
