16. Acceptance

"All the best, Jiminie!" Namjoon cheered with his dimple smile. Jimin smiled with a hint of nervousness. "Thank you, hyung!" He hugged his hyung who patted his back. Everyone was smiling standing around Jimin excluding one fellow who sat across from them with a strange nervousness. Everyone else was cheering Jimin. It was a big day for Jiminie as he was performing solo for his song, 'filter'. He was smiling but he was nervous. He wanted his Yoongi hyung to wish him, to tell him that he could do anything, to tell him that he was rooting for him. But he never did...

Jimin swayed and danced to the beats while he poured his voice out in the song. His sexy moves were being recorded in every possible angle. I mean he is THE PARK JIMIN!!

Other members were sitting backstage. They were enjoying his performance. "He is so good, isn't he?"  Tae asked Yoongi who glared making him gulp.

Yoongi's PoV:-

I followed his every minute movement with my eyes. After last morning, he wouldn't talk to me. He was obviously ignoring me. I wanted to wish him good luck but I couldn't face him at all. Now I regret it! I should've wished him. He didn't look nervous like he was before the performance. Instead he looked confident. My weakness. His confidence was something that made my stomach do flips. And these days he was so confident. He was flirting back all the time that he never did before. And I.... Was so down for it.

The song was funky and flirty like Jimin. His body moved with such grace. His expressions were on point. Sexy and flirty. The smirk on his lips and siren eyes, I could die seeing those and still be most alive. His voice melody to my ears... His lips moved according to words and that was also sexy... Sexy was just another word for him.

The performance ended with a blackout and I let my finger cross loosen. After a minute or 5, Jimin came in. We all rose up. Maknae went up to him, hugging and congratulating him. Thanks to God for this sound performance.

The maknae line was sitting in Taehopemin's room as Hobi wasn't at home. "You should take initiative and confess to him, hyung!" The youngest insisted. "But how can he and why would he? Yoongi hyung is clearly making him confused." Tae asserted. Jimin sat quite. Taekook were shifting to normal these days. At least they were talking normally.

"It's easy. Moreover he will get the clarification from Yoongi hyung. He likes him back so why would he say no?"
"Good point!"
"Hyung knows that Yoongi hyung likes him but Yoongi hyung doesn't know that. So he is worried about rejection."
"That's also obvious thing !"
"So I'm suggesting you hyung, just go and say it!"
"It's not easy at all!"

"How is it not easy?" Jungkook exclaimed. "I-it's not! That's it!" Jungkook rolled his eyes. "It's too easy. Just go and hold his hand like this!" He firmly lift Tae's hand, and held it gently between two of his. "Then gently make circles on his hands, like this!" He started making circles my moving his thumb. "Then look into his eyes and say it like this!" He fixed his eyes on Tae who was surprised by his dongsaeng's action.

"I like you, hyung... In fact, I love you! I want to have you forever in my life, not just as a friend but my better half, the one who'll be at my side, I was a fool not to say my heart out to you sooner but now I realized, there's no life without you. Will you stay with me for forever, hyung?..." He said looking straight into Tae's eyes whose lips were parted. He cleared his throat and pulled his hand out. "Y-Yeah, you should say it like that. It would- It would be nice saying that!" Tae blinked a few times to get rid of his blanks.

"You haven't answered me, hyung!" Jungkook said. His eyes never left Tae. Taehyung looked at him. "Huh?" He was not surprised, he was confused. "I  asked you something...?" Tae tilted his head a little in confusion. "Kim Taehyung, how are you so dumb! He's asking you to be his better half!" Jimin bursted out in smile and giggles while Tae transformed into a statue. Jungkook smiled and stood up. He knelt on both of his knees in front of Taehyung. "I'm sorry hyung, for not accepting you that time. I was worried about us, about bangtan, I thought there's no future for us if we happen! But... Now I know, there's no Jeon Jungkook without Kim Taehyung."

Taehyung eyes were filled with tears and in contrast, Jimin couldn't stop smiling. "Will you be my life partner and spend your life with me on your side, Kim Taehyung?" Taehyung didn't answer with words but a hug. He jumped on Jungkook and cried his heart out.

Now that Taekook had their way cleared, Jimin quickly and silently got out of the room. He was so much happy for his Best friend and his brother. He climbed down the stairs and made his way to the kitchen. He found another couple there. Jin was sitting on aisle while Namjoon was... Making something?

"Hey, hyung!" He said with a smile and walked towards Jin. "Oh, Jimin-ah, you came on the right time. See, Namjoon is making milkshake for me!" Jimin ducked his head to take a better look and Namjoon smiled at how Jin seemed happy. "Yeah, just be careful with that mixer." Namjoon gave a little salute. "I'll make one for you!" Jimin nodded. "Hyung, I needed to talk to you..." He said to Jin. "Yeah say! Is something wrong, aegi?"

"Actually yeah... I wanted to talk about Yoongi hyung!" Jin pressed his eye brows together. "What happened? Did he do something? Wait, I'll take a good lesson after he comes home!"

"No, no, hyung! That's not what I'm saying. Listen to me carefully!" Jin hummed. "You guys have been roommates since the start. You know lot of things about him, don't you?" Jin shrugged. "Depends on what you will be talking about!"

"You know that he has crush on me?" He whispered. Jin widened his eyes and glanced at Namjoon who had same reaction. "What are you talking about-"
"I know!"
"Who told you?"
"He gave me a letter!"
"But he never mentioned his name!"
"And how come you know that, huh?" Jin went silent. "Uhh.. Okay! I accept my defeat!" Jimin smirked a little. "So now he's being weird! He wouldn't show his feelings like he did before. He seems different. I see a fear in his eyes. Like something is stopping him from coming to me!"
"Jimin do you- do you like him too?" Jimin nodded, hesitantly. "I do..."

"Then don't worry... Yoongi is just like this. He's not afraid of world thinks about you both but he totally cares about what you think."

"Then what should I do to make him believe that I also like him... I don't want to confess first..." Jin gave a bored look. "Then do we have other option?"

"You can wait till he gets that assurance. Try your best to make him feel love from your end. Take initiatives. Do things that will make him realise about your feelings or simply confess to him!" Namjoon added. Jimin nodded thinking about something. "Well thank you guys! Enjoy your milkshake!" He said.

"It's almost done. Wait for a bit?"
"Nah, I'll have it later. Bye!" He walked out of the kitchen and drove to the office building. After reaching their, he made his way to Genius lab where Yoongi was since the came back from the performance. Almost 9 pm and not much people were there. He knocked on the door and Yoongi opened it.

"What are you-" Jimin interrupted. "Wanted to hang out somewhere. I won't 'disturb' you! Yoongi stepped back and let Jimin in. He then walked toward his chair leaving the door open, for 'safety reasons'.

"You won't close the door?" Jimin asked. "No, it's fine!" But Jimin, locking his eyes with Yoongi, closed the door. Moreover he locked the door all while his eyes were fixed on Yoongi who confusedly observed his actions. Jimin perfectly knows that Yoongi never actually locks the door from inside....

Jimin walked toward Yoongi. "Have a sit!" Jimin pulled a chair in front of Yoongi and sat down... "What are doing?" Jimin smirked, his face 5 times hotter that it usually is under the dim light of lamplight. "Something that was meant to be done some years sooner...."
