It was Wednesday morning, and Seline was running late for work. The week was in full swing, and there was no time to slack off in the middle of it. As soon as she rushed into the office, she noticed something unusual on her desk a cup of coffee with a small note attached.

"Drink me first, I know you needed me."

-Keia

Seline sighed, setting the note aside without much thought. She took a sip of the coffee and, despite herself, smiled. It was perfect just the way she liked it.

Keia always knew how to make her coffee exactly right. But the moment of warmth that spread through her was quickly interrupted by reality.

"We already broke up," Seline muttered. Yet, she still drinks the coffee. She took another sip, savoring it more than she'd like to admit.

Just then, Gap quietly approached her desk, sneaking up like a playful ghost. "P'Seline? Why are you smiling?" he teased, raising an eyebrow.

"Anyway, we've got a meeting later with some new clients. One of them is a major player in the manufacturing sector, and the other one is a newly opened bar called Gekko. They've got a great location, but their sales are low. We should check it out, maybe this Friday night? What do you think??"

Seline tapped her fingers on her desk thoughtfully. "Hmm, yeah, we can check out the later this week as you sa--"

"I'm coming with you guys!" Jaja chimed in, popping up from behind them with a stack of papers. She handed the documents over to Gap and shot Seline a bright smile.

"Alright, it's settled! We'll check out Gekko. Seline here could use the break she's been so stressed lately. Right, P'Seline?" Seline sighed, shaking her head but unable to suppress a small smile.

"Fine, fine. We'll meet up on Friday. But no bringing of girlfriends." she added, eyeing Jaja and Gap playfully.

Both of them nodded in agreement. Grinning like kids planning a mischief.

When the workday finally ended, Seline grabbed her things and braced herself as she left the office. It was almost routine by now, she half expected to find Keia waiting outside like usual, probably with flowers or food. But today was different.

There was no sign of her anywhere. Seline paused, surprised by the absence of Keia's usual antics. A mixture of relief and curiosity swept over her as she continued walking toward the taxi.

Once she was in the taxi, she finally allowed herself to relax, but the quiet nagged at her. Keia not being there made her wonder, 'Why didn't she come today?'
