"Good morning, I'm Aom," the woman with the tablet began. "And this is Keia Kornnaphat, our marketing director. She'll be overseeing the project."
Seline blinked, struggling to process what she was seeing. "K-Keia?" she stammered, disbelief and confusion battling for control.
Keia smiled, her gaze soft and affectionate. "Teerak, hi."
Nene, Jaja, and Gap exchanged shocked looks. The tension in the room was palpable, and Seline could feel her face flush with a mix of emotions, confusion, anger, betrayal.
How could this be happening? How could Keia be here, a part of this world she had no idea existed?
The meeting proceeded, though Seline found it hard to focus. Keia's presence was overwhelming, and every now and then, Seline caught herself staring at her, unable to look away.
Keia, dressed impeccably in a fitted suit that highlighted her sharp features and professional air, stood at the front of the room, pointer in hand, leading a presentation with ease.
"Are you undressing her with your eyes?" Jaja whispered, elbowing Seline playfully. Seline shot her a glare before forcing herself to focus on Keia's words.
This was serious. She couldn't afford to get distracted.
At the end of the presentation, Keia turned to Seline, her gaze lingering. "Seline, do you have any questions?"
Caught off guard, Seline stammered, "Uh, no, everything looks good. We'll work together on the project. You have some excellent ideas, and we'll make sure everything is executed properly." She managed an awkward smile, her voice faltering just a little.
As the meeting concluded, Keia's assistant approached Seline, relaying a message. "Ms. Kornnaphat would like to speak with you privately after the meeting."
Seline agreed, her heart racing. She had so many questions, so many emotions swirling inside her, but most of all, she needed answers.
Later, at the entrance to the office, Seline stood waiting when a sleek Mercedes-Benz C-Class pulled up beside her. The tinted window rolled down, revealing Keia's familiar face.
"Teerak, get in," Keia said softly.
Seline hesitated only for a second before opening the door and sliding into the passenger seat.
