Chapter 10

Saturday morning arrived, and Seline was the first to wake up. She glanced over at Keia lying beside her, sound asleep. Keia was always such a deep sleeper.

Tiptoeing so as not to disturb her, Seline slipped out of bed, gathered her clothes, and went into the bathroom.

When she emerged, fully dressed and composed, Keia was still lost in her dreams.

Seline took one last look at her before silently leaving the hotel.

Seline arrived at her own place, the familiar surroundings made everything sink in, the weight of her actions, the memories, and the truth she had been denying for a while now.

She had made a mistake breaking up with Keia, she was still in love with her.

Her chest tightened as the realization hit her harder than she expected. Tears welled up in her eyes, blurring her vision, but she quickly wipes them away.

Seline sighed deeply, a hollow sound that echoed in the emptiness of her apartment.

Needing to reach out, she fumbled for her phone and dialed Jaja's number It only rang a few times before a groggy voice answered.

"H...Hello?" Jaja's voice was barely audible as she peered at her phone screen, confused as to why Seline would be calling this early in the morning. "Seline? What's going on? Why are you calling me so early?"

"Where are you?" Seline answered, her voice strained and cracking under the weight of unshed tears.

Instantly, Jaja's sleepy haze cleared. "Are you crying? What happened?" The worry in Jaja's voice was clear as she pushed herself out of bed, already alert.

"Stay where you are. I'm coming over, okay?"

Seline could only nod, forgetting that Jaja couldn't see her, and ended the call with a soft, "I need someone to talk to."

"Okay, I'm on my way." With that, Jaja hung up, threw on clothes, and rushed out the door.
