"Okay Kelly do you like this one or the other one more?" I turned to Kelly just as we finished viewing the condo.
"It ain't much of a difference between them Bey." Kelly said while typing away at her phone.
"Kelly yes it is. Come on I need to make a decision in a few hours between these 2."
She finally put her phone away and looked up at me.
"Get the other one. This one is too high up."
"But the view is amazing for this one."
"You know what get this one then."
"Buttttt the other one is a lot closer to a lot of stuff. That also does mean more traffic though."
"Okay... How bout you get yo giraffe ass out my face. I'm not about to keep playing hot potato with your indecisive ass."
"Kelly come onnnn this is serious!" I sighed
"Alright Bey, get this one. It suits you and your personality. I don't want to hear another word about the two. You asked me and I chose." She said before pulling her phone back out and walked over by the door standing near it.
I took one more look around. It was on the 10th floor. Hardwood floors, 3 bedrooms 3 and half bathrooms, kitchen was fully upgraded, balcony, with a view that showed the city, amenities were nice. The only downside was parking was a bitch unless you lived here. My guest would literally have to pay $30 an hour to park in the parking garage or find parking somewhere else.
Then again I really don't plan on having people over often. Kelly was right this place did suit me better than the other one. I walked back over to the door with the idea in mind that I was going to sign a lease for this place.
When I told Kelly she started cheering. Not because she genuinely liked the place but because I finally had made a decision. I went down to the lobby and told them that I wanted to get the application started. They said as long as my background and credit check passed I could be moving in within the next 3 weeks.
I did the most of the application in person. Then they emailed me a link to fill out some more information along with attaching 2 forms of identification.
While I did that I was dropping Kelly back off at her place. I was supposed to be meeting Nicki and Kacey at the park today. Kacey had been calling me for the past two days off of Nicki's phone asking if I could come over even after me telling him I had a lot to do.
I loved the fact that he actually liked me and wanted me around. I wished that I had known about him sooner. Part of me ached knowing that I've missed so many milestones in his life. His first words, teeth growing in, steps. I wished I had been there to witness it all.
I pulled up to the park Nicki had sent me the address to. I would have parked next to her car but I didn't see it. However I did see her and Kacey... Also I saw the same guy from that night at the movies throwing a football back and forth with Kacey.
I brushed off what ever feeling I had and turned the car off to start making my way over. As soon as Kacey saw me he dropped the ball and came running my way.
"BeBe!!!" He wrapped his arms around my legs.
"Hi Kacey!" I picked him up hugging him
"You really did came'd to the park!" He smiled
