"Kam let mommy tie your shoes."

"No mommy I got it I got it!"

My baby was so independent and wanted to do everything himself, but it was safe to say he didn't have it. We were still practicing tying his shoes.

"Kam just let mommy do it for now." I bent down so I could tie his shoes I didn't want to be in this store all day.

"Mommy nooo" his voice whined and he threw his head back with a small attitude.

"You must not want a new toy still? If I don't hurry and tie your shoe the store is going to close." It wasn't but I'd be waiting for 10 minutes if it was up to him and his independence.

"Ok mommy." he sighed

It took all of 30 seconds for me to tie both shoes.

"Okay let's find your backpack for tomorrow, then get your toy." I stood up and grabbed his hand.

We browsed the aisle where all the backpacks were hanging up. He shook his head no to almost every bag I held up.

"Okay baby Spider-Man or Bat Man?" I ask him holding up two bags.

"I want PJ Masks" he pointed at another bag that we already discovered was ripped.

"Mommy will order you a PJ Mask bag baby, but that one is broken already so pick from these two." I weighed both bags between my hands.

"Promise?"

"Yes pinky promise." I put one of the bags under my arm and bent down to pinky promise with him.

"Okay. That one." He pointed at the Spider-Man bag.

"Okay let's go get your toy now." I put the other back on the rack and his little ass took off running.

"Kacey Avery Maraj!" I say his full name following behind him.

I finally caught up to him and told him not to run off again. Then grabbed his hand. We were almost by the toys when I realized I forgot to get a folder for him. He was a bit upset but still we turned back around to go get it.

Once we got the folder he took off running again. Luckily the toy aisle wasn't far.

"KACEY IF YOU RUN OFF ONE MORE TIME!" I huffed while watching his little body run into one of the aisles he ignored the hell out of me the only thing on his mind was a new damn toy.

I put more pep into my step and made my way into the same aisle he ran down.

"Kacey what did I tell you about that!" I say growing a bit frustrated not only did he run off but he was in a stranger's face.

"I'm sorry he knows better than to talk to strangers, he's just overly excited today." an apology left my lips.

"It's fine no need to apologize kids will always be kids." The lady he was talking to stood up.

I was far from prepared to see her face. 100 different thoughts and emotions ran through my head. It was her.. from Bora Bora.

"S-Sorry.." I say quickly running over to grab him.

Her face was probably mirroring mine in shock. I picked him up and turned around leaving the toy aisle.

"Mommy my toyyy!!" He started whining and throwing a fit in my arms.
