Y/N AND SUNA WERE EATING LUNCH WHEN SHE SAW HIS PHONE CONSTANTLY BUZZING. "you should get that, must be important if they're calling constantly" y/n said, shoving a potato into her mouth. she was slightly annoyed, and had every right to be that someone was interrupting their lunch date.
"sorry. i'll go take this" suna said, wiping his mouth with the cloth napkin and getting up from his seat. he glanced at his phone screen and furrowed his eyebrows before walking out of the restaurant.
"what do you want? i told you not to bother me during the day" he rolled his eyes. "im sorrrry rinnie" the mystery girl said. "i just missed you. wanna get dinner tonight?" she asked.
suna clicked his tongue and folded his arms.
meanwhile, y/n watched out the window as suna had a conversation with this mystery person. she saw his furrowed brows and clear look of annoyance.
"i wonder who he's talking to? another girl? that can't be it" y/n muttered to herself, while aggressively cutting into another potato. "excuse me, ma'am, are you okay? can i get you anything?" the waiter asked.
"can i get another glass of wine?" she asked, the waiter nodded and walked away to retrieve the bottle. y/n herself had also gotten an email, but it was from school.
she mostly did online school in order to not attract attention to herself, but there were some classes she had to go in for, and unfortunately, economics was one of them.
she raised an eyebrow at the email she received. "only a ninety? why not higher?" she gasped to herself, immediately looking at the feedback to her assignment.
she was so engrossed in her email, that she hadn't realized suna had come back. "you good?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "i'm fine" she huffed, placing her phone down on the table.
the waiter came back and poured her another glass. "thank you" she said.
"nothing. i just got a ninety on one of my assignments" y/n frowned. "a ninety is bad? what're you so upset about?" he asked. "a ninety isn't bad, but i have higher expectations for myself" she sighed.
"do you have class tomorrow? maybe we could spend the day together to make you feel better" he suggested, taking a sip of his beer. "i have eco tomorrow, im gonna go talk to my prof about this shitty grade"
"if it makes you feel any better, you're doing a lot better than i did when i was in university" he shrugged his shoulders. "i guess, not really though! at least you had volleyball to back you up. if i don't get good grades i can't take over the company"
"you'll be okay angel, im sure of it" he nodded his head.
after their lunch suna drove y/n home.
——
the next morning y/n went to her economics class, and the class was just as boring as she remembered from last week. "as you all know, i've returned your statistics assignment. if you have any questions feel free to approach me when class ends. or right now actually since class is over in five"
y/n was first in line to hash out her issues with the prof, and he gave her the ninety-five she deserved after the TA's had some marking mistakes. "hey girl! let's go pick up hana from her fashion class or whatever she has right now. here's your matcha!" keiko cheered, handing her the cold drink.
"thanks, i really needed this" y/n sighed, taking a sip from her drink. "yeah? was your eco class boring?" keiko asked. "i think the question is, when is it not boring" y/n replied.
"true" she said, opening the door to the fashion building. "hey!" hana exclaimed, making her way to the two girls. "hey! how was class?" y/n asked, linking her arms with the two girls. "it was alright, we just did some more design stuff. reiki was being a hugeeee bitch though! she keeps going on and on about her pro volleyball boyfriend" hana rolled her eyes.
"yeah? do you think it's true?" keiko asked. "apparently, she was forced to sign an NDA. i think he's just embarrassed of her annoying ass" hana rolled her eyes again.
"i think i see her right there" keiko said as they all stepped out of the building. "holy shit, is that suna?" i rubbed my eyes, and looking at the two again.
the girls continued to walk in their direction. "wow reiki! i didn't think it was true! you really do have a boyfriend" hana laughed. "you just happen to play pro volleyball don't you?" y/n smirked, tilting her head.
"can't wait to see what the media will think of this!" y/n smiled, as she pointed to paparazzi, hiding in a bush. suna's smile dropped as he stepped away from reiki. "you guys know each other right? i saw the post! so silly, i can't believe atsumu stuck rinnie with such a pest like you!" she chuckled.
y/n raised an eyebrow at suna, who looked away sheepishly. "atsumu, huh? yeah, i know. what a shame" y/n smiled. "you guys have fun on you're, uh, date? i'll see you around, rinnie"
the three girls walked away and went to their cars. "casa amore?" hana asked. "yeah, 10?" i replied, leaning on my car. "i'll tell the rest of the girls and i'll call up the alders. i hear oikawa tooru is in town too" keiko winked.
