CASA AMORE WAS ALWAYS BUZZING no matter what day of the week it was. the japan branch was no exception. y/n and her friends made their way around the building full of sweaty people, when someone bumped into her.

"shit, sorry" y/n said, grabbing her purse and handing the person some cash. "go buy yourself a new drink" she said. "aw, thanks y/n" a familiar voice said. she looked up and saw reiki giving her the fakest smile.

"i didn't know we were just letting commoners into casa now" y/n raised her eyebrow. "i'm not just anyone i'm suna rintaros girlfriend, of course they're gonna let me in" she boasted.

"well, casa is for celebrities and nepo babies only. you aren't either. and last time i checked, commoner partners weren't allowed."

"don't go around telling people we're dating, reiki" suna said, coming up behind the blonde haired girl. "brought your bimbo into the club, huh?" y/n asked.

on the exterior she was confident, poised, and ready to snap back. but on the inside she was kind of hurt. she thought that they could've actually had something.

"she's not a bimbo, y/n" suna rolled his eyes. "you're right, sorry. i meant your new bitch of the month" y/n smiled, tilting her head. "bitch-" reiki said, but got abruptly cut off by keiko. "girl, get over here! we managed to get a table next to the alders! it cost us like ten thousand extra but whatever" keiko said, tugging on y/n's arm.

"sorry, i actually have people who want to see me" she smiled, before walking away. "ugh, what a bitch. i can't believe they even let her in!" keiko exclaimed. y/n thanked the guard who unclipped the rope so they could get to their VIP table.

"there she is!" hana exclaimed. "hey guys! you weren't about to do a shot without me, right?"
y/n gasped. "never" asami smirked, handing her a shot glass.

"welcome home, alders. hope you enjoyed your vacation in brazil" y/n smiled. "hey what about me!" oikawa whined. "yeah, yeah, you too oikawa. welcome back from argentina" y/n rolled her eyes.

everyone clinked their glasses with each other and drank their shot. "oh yeah, that's the good stuff" she winced at the strong liquor going down her throat. "wakatoshi, good to see ya again" y/n said, sitting next to him. "hi" he nodded. "still as stoic as ever, huh. do you at least have a girlfriend yet?"

"you could say i'm seeing someone" he replied, shrugging his shoulders. "aw, who is she?" y/n asked. wakatoshi immediately pulled out his phone and opened his camera roll. "she's gorgeous! wait, is that saeko? like mitsubishi heir saeko?"

"yeah. our parents set us up, but we've been doing okay so far" he said. "aww, good for you"

"are you seeing anyone?" he asked. "well, i was. kinda? you know suna rintaro, obviously. our parents set us up because his dad is the cfo of the company. anyways, we had an arrangement that he would be my sugar daddy in return for a fake relationship"

"you haven't even finished your story and it sounds messy" he replied. "oh trust me. it gets messier. so we're getting lunch like, literally, two days ago and then his phone keeps buzzing so obviously, i'm like, who the fuck is this?"

"whatever. the next day i had class and i was walking with keiko and hana, and then i see some girl named reiki, that they both hate by the way. and reiki is always boasting about how her boyfriend is a pro volleyball player but made her sign some nda or something stupid like that."

"regardless, i thought he was just embarrassed of her. i mean, shes a normie. until i saw her and suna fucking kissing or something"

"sounds messy, y/n. i've always warned you to be careful about people since we were in kindergarten" ushijima said. "well, it would've been fine if i hadnt kind of caught feelings or whatever" y/n sighed.

"im sure it'll all work out in the end. after all, people who are wealthy and regular people don't mix well. i'm sure once the media finds out they'll break up" he nodded, sipping his whiskey. "thanks for the advice, toshi" y/n said, throwing her head back against the booth.

suddenly the room felt suffocating.

"i'm gonna get some air. i'll be back" y/n said, standing up and taking her purse with her. y/n used the back door since it was more secure and sat on the steps. "my life is a mess" she groaned, pulling her legs up and resting her chin.

"you done being mean now?" she heard a familiar voice say. she looked up and saw suna sitting next to her. y/n immediately stood up to go back inside when he pulled on her wrist. "sit. we need to talk. i sent her home" he mumbled.

reluctantly, y/n sat back down.

it was silent for a few minutes before suna finally spoke. "reiki was someone i was seeing on the side casually before i met you. we just hung out a lot and then it turned into something kind of more" he said.

'something casual my ass' y/n thought to herself. "i'm not a relationship guy. you knew that from the start. but, im not gonna date reiki" he said. "okay" she replied. "i thought i was starting to like you more than a friend. but it's whatever. thanks for the stuff you bought me" y/n stood up and dusted herself off.

"wait" he said. y/n paused and turn around to look at him. "friends?" he asked. "i can't be friends with someone i was falling for. sorry."
