We arrived in the meeting room moments later. Mary talked with the man, but I was to nervouse to listen to there conversation. Mary, patting me on my back, left the room, the door closing with a loud clicking sound. That was enough to get my attention. I jumped slightly at the sudden noise. The man chuckled, and leaned back in his chair.

"What?" I asked weakly, feeling a bit defensive. I just didn't have enough energy to express it.

"You're very comfertable around Mary. She's your favorite, isn't she?" He asked.

I was quit stunned. I had never told anyone that Mary was my favorite, and he was right about me feeling comfertable around Mary. . . how the hell did he know?

"How did you know that?" I thought I nervous in the hallway. The nerves in the hallway were nothing compared to the nerves in my stomach at this very moment.

"You didn't jump when Mary patted you on the back, but you jumped when the door closed. This suggest that you are very comfertable around Mary. And very nervous."

"Yes," I replyed, 'cus what else was I supopsed to say.

"Take a seat, Amanda," He smirked, his hands in a praying position just above his chin, his green eyes narrowed. As I timidly sat down in the chair across from him, he chuckled lightly.

"Is something funny?" I mumbled under my breath, curling myself up in the chair. I didn't have a good feeling about this man.

I'm so so SO sorry for not being able to post regularly! I alternate between writing on my phone and on my mom's laptop. Sometimes on my dad's computer. I've also been busier than I thought/wanted to this summer. Ugh!
