This Isn't Normal

"Hey, hey your okay!" Hermione rubbed Priscilla's back as she sat up gasping for air. She wanted to go back, she wanted to see what happened to her grandmother but knew it wasn't possible right now.

"What happened," she controlled her breathing and looked over at Hermione.

"Dove, they've captured Sirius," Harry came from the other side of her curtain. Opening it up to the room.

"Any minute the dementors are gonna perform the Kiss," Hermione further explained.

"They're gonna kill him?" Her voice cracked. She couldn't lose him, they had plans to know each other again.

"No. It's worse," the girl shook her head. "Much worse... They're going to suck out his soul."

A deathly silence fell over them before Dumbledore walked into the hospital wing.

"Headmaster, stop them!" Hermione ran over towards him.

"They've got the wrong man," Harry rushed over.

"It's true. Sirius is innocent," Priscilla spoke up, getting out of bed with wobbly feet.

"It's Scabbers who did it," Ron spoke from his hospital bed, his leg in a cast.

"Scabbers?" He furrowed his brows.

"He's my rat, sir. He's not really a rat. He was a rat. He was my brother Percy's rat. But then they gave him an owl..."

"The point is, we know the truth," Hermione interrupted his rambling.

It seemed Ron had a grudge with Scabbers, or rather Peter Pettigrew.

"Please believe us."

"I do, Miss Granger," Dumbledore calmly replied. "But the word of four 13-year-old wizards will convince few others."

Walking over to Ron, the headmaster began patting the boys cast.

"A child's voice, however honest and true is meaningless to those who have forgotten how to listen."

Silently suffering, Ron held in his breath to not let out a scream from the pain as his face went as red as his hair.

"Mysterious thing, time," Dumbledore walked over to the three other children. "Powerful and when meddled with, dangerous. Sirius Black is in the topmost cell of the Dark Tower. You know the laws, Miss Granger. You must not be seen. And you would do well, I feel, to return before this last chime."

As Hermione listened carefully to his every word. Harry and Priscilla looked dumbfounded as they didn't understand what he was talking about in the slightest.

"If not, the consequences are too ghastly to discuss. If you succeed tonight... more than one innocent life may be spared. Three turns should do it, I think."

He began to walk out of the room.

"Oh, and by the way. When in doubt, I find retracing my steps to be a wise place to begin. Good luck."

And with that knowledge, Hermione was ready for the task at hand as they all watched Dumbledore shut the door with a wink.

"What the bloody hell was that all about?" Ron asked what Harry and Priscilla were thinking.

"Sorry, Ron, but seeing as you can't walk..." Hermione took out a long chain from under her shirt and pulled the other two closer before placing is on their necks as well. Turning the circular object attached to the chain, they watched as Ron quickly disappeared from the room.
