A Little Family Problem
"I'll be forever grateful for this... to all of you," Sirius looked at the three children in front of him.
"I want to go with you," Priscilla proclaimed. She didn't want him to leave her, afraid she'd never see him again since he'd be on the run.
"One day, perhaps my love. For some time now, my life can be too unpredictable. And besides you're meant to be here," he leaned down on his knees to get a final look at her.
Taking his hand, Priscilla squeezed.
"But you're innocent," she whispered, too afraid her voice would reveal her emotions.
"And you know it," he smiled with tears brimming his eyes. "And for now, that will do."
Turning to his side, Sirius looked at Harry with a sad smile.
"I expect you're tired of hearing this but you look so much like your father. Except your eyes, you have-"
"My mother's eyes," he nodded.
"It's cruel that I spent so much time with James and Lily, and you two so little. But know this... the ones that love us never really leave us. And you can always find them... in here." Taking his free hand, he placed his palm above his heart before looking at his daughter once more.
He didn't know the next time they would see each other and it broke his heart. But looking at the bright side, she knew he was innocent and that's all he had ever hoped.
The sudden urge to wrap her arms around her father came over her and before she could convince herself other wise she did it, shocking Sirius the most. It took only a moment before he too wrapped his arms around her frame.
"Grimmwauld Place. Go there, you'll be safe and won't have to run. We can live together and no one will know until you're really free. I'll send word to Kreecher to let you in and he'll have food ready for you," she whispered into his ear so he could only hear. "I know it's not the place you want to be and neither do I... but I have this idea where we make it a home. Tear out the insides and start over."
"That's a marvelous idea, love. We can make it a summer project," he nodded before they detached. "I'll miss you, both of you."
Looking at Hermione who stood with the hippogriff he smiled in thanks, "You really are the brightest witch of your age."
With a grateful nod, she handed over Buckbeak.
"Take care of her, Harry," Sirius ordered before flying off into the night sky.
"We have to go," Hermione rushed them towards the hospital wing after seeing their time was running out.
Arriving just at midnight, they watched as Dumbledore had just closed the door to the wing.
"Well?" He asked walking away.
"He's free. We did it," Harry replied, trying to catch his breath while doing so.
"Did what?" The headmaster acted confused as he left. "Good night."
With light chuckles the three walked into the hospital where Ron sat flabbergasted.
"How did you get there?" He pointed at them and then towards where he last saw them. "I was talking to you there. And now you're there."
"What's he talking about, Harry?" Priscilla acted just as confused as Dumbledore had.
"I don't know," the boy shrugged trying to contain his smirk.
"Honestly, Ron. How can somebody be in two places at once?" Hermione got onto him as they all began to sit around the red headed boy.
