But much to his dismay she never asked anything from him nor did she show him any tantrums. The carefree and happy HM felt like a distant dream to him. He wanted to keep her close to him and protect her but the fact that she was a member of the special force she got herself transferred out of the MPT to the special's unit in Lucknow helping them set up a unit here which she would be leading therefore no longer reporting to him. One night he woke up in the middle of the night not feeling her presence near him which was quite common thing for her to do as she would eat something she craved while speaking to her best friend Arjun who he knew was her mission partner and worked in the special forces. 

Arjun's wife was also her friend and was also on the path of motherhood from what he overheard. He made his way downstairs where he watched her collect her ice cream order from a delivery guy and make her way to the kitchen as she spoke to Arjun over the phone as he was to come down there with his wife. He stood behind the door to make sure she doesn't over eat and help her back to their room. He was silently listening to both of them speak about a case and later about the pregnancy journey as the phone was on speaker. This had been something he did often as they both barely spoke however much they craved to speak to each other. Though the best friends spoke the world to each other but never once did she complain or bad mouth him or his family to him. Her friend was in the impression that she was in a happy pregnancy journey.

A: wahi on the toe's madam ko janti hai na tu. Extra clingy ban gayi hai par not complaining

HM smiles a sad smile: she needs you now more than ever its like humare andar itne emotions athe hai na kabi kabi maan karta hai apne partner ko gale lagaye aur bhas wahi rahe. jaise food craving hoti hai na waise hi you need your partners warmth and assurance after all those hormones working overtime along with the insecurities.

A: she had that today all-day madam been clinging to me for dear life aj pain mein bhi thi woh so massaged her legs with oil toh ab chen se soyi hai. This whole feeling is beautiful yaar just to pamper her and hold her and to feel that little bump of hers makes all of it worth it. Pata hai when I touch her little bump that feeling I get is unexplainable it's like I won the world.
