BLAZE!

A New Beginning

Jason opens the oversized door revealing a ridiculous and lavish interior. The floor is polished with stairs leading to hallways on either side with another corridor in the back of the main hall. Three paths, three choices on how to approach this massive place. The main hall has a beautiful chandelier made from what appears to be pure clear shards. In addition to the insane chandelier, the main lounge room has a pretty normal couch on the side where Kuron Is preparing to make himself comfy for his nap. 

K: Bro you sleep on the floor. I call dibs on this baby. Kuron tells Jason as he basically melts into the couch and almost immediately starts to snore. Jason makes his way over and pokes Kuron.

J: Bitch you best scoot over, otherwise I'm going to explore this place.

Jason tells Kuron who just rolls over attempting to melt into his sweater for warmth. Jason sighs in disappointment and decides to do the lateral. 

J: Wait, it's not even night time! The sun is still out!

Jason pulls out his phone to see that it's only 6:10 pm. He pauses realizing that his battery is essentially one and done. He pockets his phone, with a heavy heart knowing that its best not to waste its charge for whatever reason.

K: I don't care, I'm taking a nap! Now shut up so I can fucking sleep!! You're not the one who drained themselves from using magic! Snore!

Jason is just disappointed but he suddenly catches movement from the top of the left stairs. whatever it was it scurried out of sight. Jason looks back at Kuron to see if he's really out and walks over to the set of stairs. Jason runs his hand against the stairs railing, admiring the intricacies of their design which seems to be off of some spiraling serpents. Duh,duh,duh. Jason's steps are echoed lightly from the steps adding to how much space there is in this room alone. He gets to the top and is met with a hallway. 

J: Huh? How big is this place really? Why do I always feel like someone is stalking me?Jason mutters to himself as he walks down the hallway. Jason feels the floor change so he looks down to see that they in fact use carpet in this area. Jason gets cold feet from exploring and decides to just go back whipping around. DUD! He slams into someone. Both of them fall to their butts, hard.

J: Uff! My bad. Wait, it's you-?

Ella quickly covers Jason's mouth and places a finger over her own mouth indicating to shut it. 

E: Shhh. I just wanted to make sure you were really human. It's been a minute since I have seen another human. Follow me. I have a spot where I like to chill and hide away from the others.

Ella helps Jason up to his feet when Suddenly, Ella grabs Jason's wrist with a surprising amount of force and drags him through the hallway at a rapid pace. Jason closes his eyes in a panic when they suddenly stop allowing his legs to touch the ground. He opens his eyes to see that they are on a sort of small porch with a pretty railing design. 

E: You see that much bigger porch. *points to the left off the deck* That's the storage room. You think you can make it over there?
J: Pff fuck no! Imma eat shit if I try to get over there. Ill just watch you from here.

Jason replies to Ella's playful energy. Ella smiles at Jason and flips over in one graceful movement, striking a pose in the process. Jason closes his wide open mouth with his right hand. 

E: Your turn Mr. 'I don't respect royalty'. What don't tell me you're actually scared now? 
J: Well good bye ankles...I hope I don't pull a muscle...

Jason mutters to himself while preparing to jump. Jason is afraid of heights so he just waddles against the edge of the castle and hops over. 

E: Pff! You're definitely human, I'll give you that much. It's fine. I was scared the first time I made my way over here. 

After a bit Jason makes his way over to Ella who has her back to the railing looking cool. Jason scoots up to lean onto the edge of the porch, Ella does the same, giving them a clean view of the side of the castle. a slight breeze runs by making Ella's hair flow beautifully almost enchanting Jason with her looks. 

J: So...why did you decide to spy on me? I could not have been that intriguing for that.
E: What are you talking about? I was making my way from the war room to my room. You ran into me? Are you telling me someone is spying on you?
J: Wait what? Then who... never mind then. Sooo...How long have you been here?
E: Oh...I lost track of time since my phone died a while back So like a few months. A year maybe? More or less I'm not too sure at this point?
J: Damn. So you're like half valk now or still fully human?
E: I-I'm not sure anymore. I don't know why but ever since I've been here, I did slowly feel myself change a bit but I'm not even close to any of the others. I say I'm still human...for now at least. 

Ella declares and turns to see Jason. Jason stands there not really paying attention to what she said, and gets a bit flustered since he was admiring her. At this point the sun is setting and a slight breeze picks up making Ella's hair flow out of her face.

J: *still flustered a bit* D-do you think there's any way home...or should I just get comfy and enjoy this new life?
E: Uhh I don't know? I never really thought about it all that much. This place is interesting and much calmer than my life back home. Sure it had some weird effects on me here and there so maybe there is a way back home.

Ella looks off enjoying the sun set. Jason looks down and fidgets with his hands.
J: Do you want to go back...or do you enjoy being here over being back home?
E: Uhh I would not really want to stay here much longer, but with you-I mean you guys...I wouldn't mind as much but home would be better since I'm not treated as a 'Valkyrie' Valkyrie...yet. So yeah, maybe going home would be great.

Ella says in a sort of hurt and regretful tone, she leans closer to Jason. he blushes slightly and feels his heart begin to thump like crazy. 

J: *flustered* Oh...well for right now I'm going to try and get used to such a weird place. I want to get you guys home-no I will get you and Kuron back home. I just need to figure out how. Mmmm? I got it! The Queen must know something about how we can go home! She says she is the ruler of this place or whatever so she must know something about getting us home. I've seen enough shows to know that she has to know a thing or two.

Jason exclaims with a fiery look in his eyes and while jumping back from excitement. Ella rotates and rests her back against the railing once again.

E: pff! You really are dense huh? Well I'm glad Blitz bought you and your friend...he seems like he isn't exactly planning to leave any time soon. I should probably get back to The Queen...I suggest you go talk to Blitz since the others don't really like talking with humans all that much.

Ella tells Jason with a soft smile on her face. Jason takes a step back with Ella following suit.

J: Alrighty blitz it is! Uhh...mind taking me back to the entrance? Please? 

Jason asks in a rather embarrassed tone to which Ella just smiles in response.

 E: Sure like I mean I did drag you out here. 

Ella grabs Jason's arm and jumps back to her room patio in another clean jump. E: Oh uhh...don't mind the mess...actually close your eyes I was not expecting visitors. Ella states as Jason just covers his eyes with his remaining hand. 

J: You have my word. I did not see anything.

Ella rushes him out of the room and back to the edge of the stairs.

 E: Ok see you later alligator! 

Ella quickly walks off to the opposing hallway leaving Jason in a flurry of emotions. Jason walks down to Kuron who is sleeping soundly at this point. Jason takes off his tattered and slightly burnt sweater. He balls it up and places it onto the floor beside the couch with a sort of weird feeling in his chest as he attempts to sleep. He lays on the hard floor of this new place with his makeshift pillow.

J: Look at you now Jason...on the brink of death to a place full of hatred. It's like I'm back home ha ha...maybe this place won't be so bad after all...
Jason mutters to himself as he dozes off tired from the events of today.
