Sitting in the bathtub and taking a long soak.

After drying up and getting dressed.
Seeing Jin-woo still in the living room looking at his phone as if nothing had happened.
He looks up at me, and I feel the blood rushing to my face in embarrassment.
Retreating into my room and closing the door.
The mere thought of what had to happen only makes me cringe and confused about how I am supposed to feel.
"This is so stupid...."
A knock on my door.
Taking a deep breath and opening the door to see Jin-woo standing there.
"What do you want?"
"Are you alright?"
'Huh? He spanked me till my butt hurts and asking me how I am? What the hell?'
Folding my arms across my chest, "What do you think? You literally spank me like a child!"
He sighs, "You were a brat and I have let it slide for far too long. It is high time you need to be discipline a little."
"A little?" Feel my frustration rise up at how he is treating me. "That is more than a little. My butt still hurt!"
"I know, but I am not sorry for disciplining my little girl."
'His what?' I mean I like the way he says it but it also kind of weird.
"Whatever...you should go to bed."
"Want to go to the beach? I'm bringing Jiah since it is a Saturday, and she needs a break."
Blinking in surprise, the man is so random.
"Erm...I have nothing to wear to go to the beach."
"We can shop in the morning before heading there."
The beach does sound nice, "Fine..."
"Get some sleep, we are going to have so much fun," He leans down and kiss the top of my head. It makes the butterflies in my stomach flutter like crazy.
As he turns to walk away.
After that strange dream, I did not feel comfortable being alone.
My hand grabs his wrist and he looks at me.
"Can you stay with me until I fall asleep?"
He gives me a gentle smile, "Sure."

In bed with my back against his chest and his arms around me.
Somehow, I feel so safe when I am around him.
Whenever I feel like I have my life together, fate always prove me wrong.
After coming to Seoul and living in the orphanage, my life had got better, but then the destruction of the orphanage and the system not taking kids my age left me and many homeless. Me working day and night to pay my rent and bills just to survive to have everything all taken away from me. Even living with Jin-woo back then, I was always living on the edge when shit would hit the roof.
Life is like a rollercoaster for me, more down than up that I learn to never expect anything from a false sense of peace but right now, he makes me feel safe and grounded like all my worries and negative thoughts all melt away.
"Does your butt still hurts?"
"Yes..."
Feeling his lips on the top of my head, "I am sorry about it."
His apology surprise me.
"Really?"
"Yes. It is not like I want to do that to you, but if you had listened to me and not be a brat about it. I would not have done that to you."
I feel guilty that I was mean to him just now, and I can feel tears welling up in my eyes, "I am sorry for being a brat."
He turns me around, and I look up at him.
"I know you are stress and the need to protect yourself, but you don't have to do that in front of me. Let me take care of you."
Trust was never easy for me. Too many times I have been backstabbed by others after arriving in Seoul that I cannot trust anyone else. And here somehow my instinct is to trust this man with my life.
"I know you want to trust me, and you are unsure, but let's just take it one step at a time."
His words make me want to believe, but he is right that I need to take it one step at a time.
"Okay..."
He leans down to kiss the top of my head, "Good girl. Now sleep. You will need your energy at the beach with Jinah."
'Fuck...' Jinah is going to be all out for fun. I envy her that she can be so carefree, unlike me.
Feeling his thumb rubbing the small of my back as I listen to his heartbeat that lull me to sleep.
