Going back to where it all began was something I had been dreading for weeks.

I knew that eventually. I had to. There was no way around it.

Before his death, Rome told me that everything he had would be mine whether we were married or not.
What I did not know at the time was he had gone to a lawyer before our wedding. He had literally everything put into my name incase he were to die.
The business, cars, plane, castle in Italy, and the building that my apartment and his penthouse were in. It was all mine now. The only thing left to do was sign the paperwork.
I don't want any of it, but I cant let it all go either. I can't run his business. How could I? I didn't major in Business to be a CEO. And I don't know anything about maintaining an apartment building. How could I do that anyway, living three hours away now? My mind spirals as all of these questions run through my mind.

"Hey." Abels voice pulls me back out of the rabit hole my mind has dug. When i turn to look at him he has a frown on hi sface. "Whats going on up there?" He nods his head to motion towards my head. I hang my head amd shake it before looking back up at him.
"Its nothing really. Just trying to figure some stuff out in my head." He lightly squeezes the inside of my thigh.
"I can hear that. Why dont you share out loud? Ask for help from your future Alpha." he smirks, I just shake my head and sigh resting my head back against the headrest.

"Well, for the business. How am I going to find someone I trust enough to run it? And the apartment buinding on Park Avenue; who will run it and maintain it? Im just an executive assistant Rome hired out of college. Yet hes left me all of it." I turn mybhead in hos direction. Hos eyes still on the road as he drives with a smirk on his lips. "Whats with the smirk?" He glances from the road to me for a second and then back.
"Ava, do you know what I have my degree in?" I pick my head up looking at him and shake my head.
"No." He chuckles.
"Business and advertising. And Leo your Beta, is in realestate. Im sure he could find someone trust worthy to run the apartment building." Abel pulls the car over and puts it in park. He undoes his seat belt and turns his body as he looks at me. "I always tell you that you aren't alone. All you have to do is ask and you will find the answers right infront of you". His hand cups the side of my head and pulls me towards him to kiss me. "Are you ready?" He asks against my lips. I pull away to look around and realize we are parked infront of my office.
I shake my head. "No, but that doesnt matter." I look back at him and he gives me a sad smile before he gets out and makes his way around the car to help me out. I take his hand as I step out, looking up at all the glass windows of this massive building. I hear the car door shut behind me and slightly flinch. Abel wraps his arm around my back giving me the emotional support I need.

"I'm here with you. you're not alone." He whispers in my ear. "You can do this." I nod and start walking towards the front door. Abel never letting go of me.

Walking through the heavy glass doors I'm hit with the sounds and smells that will always remind me of my first day here and every day after.
The woman at the front desk looks up but doesn't say anything. She just offers me a solemn smile and small nod as we walk passed to the elevator. I politely offer her the same.

I push the button for our floor and step back to wait. Abel stands beside me placing his hand on the small of my back.

Reaching our floor the elevator sounds and the doors open. Immediately memories flood my brain. I push them to the back of my head to deal with later. "Follow me." I step out, walking right to my office. Everyone stops their movements to look at me. I can here some of them whispering to one another voicing how bad they feel for me. I ignore it and continue to my office. Pushing the door open I look around. Everything is just as we left it before we left to get married. I walk over and place my bag on my desk before walking around to sit at Romes desk.
"You shared the office?" I smile as I brush my finger tips over the top of his desk nodding.
"Yeah. He needed me close by. You know that feeling." I smirk sitting back in the chair. He smiles and nods taking a seat infront of me at the desk. He opens his mouth to speak but a knock at the door stops him. "Come in." The door opens and Romes lawyer sticks his head in. "Hello Reed. How are you?" I stand watchin him as he speed walks across the office to stand infront of me.
"I'm well Mrs. Reigns. Thank you for asking. Again I want to give my condolences. Mr. Reigns was a great man and a wonderful man to work for. It has hit everyone here pretty hard." I motion with my hand gor him to take a seat as I sit myself.
"Thank you for saying that Reed. Shall we sit in here or would you prefer the conference room?" He looks between Abel and I.
