●SIDDHANT
I was going to pick diya from her parents' house as she stayed there for pagh fera yesterday. I was driving while thinking about everything that had happened in these past few days. Our dance in the reception, our eye contact, how she fell in my arms while dancing with the scared expression her eyes closed which brought a smile on my face and how I woke up in the morning yesterday my hands on her waist my legs above her legs and the pillows on the floor that's when I realised why she kept the pillow between us.I placed the pillow as it was before. I must have moved to her side in our first night, too. It's so embarrassing. I don't know what happens to me when I am near her I didn't even move in sleep before. I need to control myself. I don't want to get attached to anyone.
I reached the house and rang the bell. Aunty opened the door. I touched her feet and then met uncle and touched his feet too.I looked around searching for diya, but she was not there. "Diya is still in her room beta she is still asleep, I guess. You go and wake her up. I will make some breakfast for you." Aunty said, smiling. "OK, aunty." I nodded my head. "You should call me mummy or maa now Siddhant. Also, why don't you stay for lunch?" she suggested. "Actually mummy I have to go to office today there is too much work pending also diya is still on leave for two more days so I need to leave early" I explained her.She nodded and I moved towards diya's room.
I waited for her to wake up, but she showed no sign of waking up, so I decided to do the honour. I moved towards her. Her hair was made in a braid, and some strand were on her face. I gently moved them. She looks beautiful even while sleeping.
No no no Get a grip, Sid.I called her a few times but she didn't react and now she was smiling in her dreams maybe. I shook her, but no reaction. I patted her shoulder and called her, and still no reaction. How is she still not awake? It's already 8. I saw a jug full of water and a glass, and then an idea hit me. I took the glass and filled it with water because I thought a whole jug full of water would be too much. First, I just threw a few drops at her thinking she would wake up, but she didn't, so having no other options, I threw the glass full of water at her, and she started screaming floods. Is she still dreaming?Anyways, after she processed everything, she finally got ready and had breakfast. Tia had already called me two times saying our clients have reached. I was already late for the meeting.
We were in my car on the way back to my house. "I wanted to talk to you about something," Diya spoke all of a sudden. "Will you finish in 5 minutes? We will reach home till then, and I need to leave for office," I responded. "Maybe or maybe not, but it's important," she explained. "Speak," I spat. I just hope it's important enough because I am already frustrated due to the delay. "Actually, yesterday I mean the day before yesterday when I was about to thank u for the gift you said you bought it so nobody would doubt anything. What did you mean by that?"."I meant what I said diya both of us know the reality of our marriage. It's just for convenience convenience of our parents convenience of my dadu and maybe convenience for us. So we can just pretend to be a lovely couple in front of everyone else, but actually, we will just coexist."I finished my words. "But we decided to put some effort into this marriage. What about that?"She spoke again. "Yes, we did, and I will. I will fulfil all my duties towards weather its respecting you or caring for you, but that's all," she sighed as I finished. "But you agreed to put efforts in this marriage for it to work."she replied again." Don't respect and care count as efforts," I argued. I was losing my patience. "But marriage don't work on that only. Do you think we can spend our whole life only on respect and care?" She raised her eyebrow. "Look, Diya, I am already late. we can discuss it some other time." I suggested. "No, Siddhant, you look. I mean, you understand we can't talk in office about these matters, and someone may hear us in home, and since the topic is already raised, we can just talk about it."I sighed defeated as we reached the house. I just stopped the car and looked towards her she took the clue and started speaking.
