•SIDDHANT

Diya grabbed my hands as she pulled me outside. My eyes stuck on her hand holding mine. A sense of belonging fills me from within. But suddenly, I noticed her grip loosening. I raised my head and realised we were only a few steps away from the dining table.

"Don't," I slowly wishpered.

"Hmm?" She turned towards me, confused.

"Don't leave my hand." Suprise and a tint of blush clear in her face.

"It's just a few steps. I will have to leave your hand while we eat, right?"

I nodded in affirmation as I didn't want to make her uncomfortable in front of the family, but in reality, I don't agree with her. Even if it is just a few steps or a second, I wish to hold her hand. I wish to feel her warmth. I wish to be reminded that I do belong to her. I wish to confirm that she is actually with me and it's not some dream. It doesn't matter if it's an eternity or a single second, I will always wish to hold her close to me.

Deepdown, I am afraid that if she leaves my hand, she will never hold it again.

"Where are you lost? Let's go. "  Her voice brought me me back.

I nodded and sat on the chair.

I was eating my food, still thinking where to keep the teddy bear that Rose gifted me.

I can't believe she gifted me a teddy that had heart in its hand. Wait!!! Did she want to tell me that she is giving her heart to me? So does that mean she loves me?

No, no, that's not possible. I am thinking too much. But what if I am right? Does she really love me?
I slightly giggled and shook my head.
Wow, it sounds nice.

I need some water to digest this fact. I straightened my hand to pick the glass when I noticed everyone looking at me weirdly, including Rose. From the look on her face, I can say she is definitely judging me. That doesn't look like the  look of love.
So I was just overthinking.

"Kya hua bhaiya aaj bade khush lag rahe ho?" Mayank said out of the blue.
("What happened brother you look very happy today?"

"Nothing," ignoring him, I focused on my previous dilemma. "Where should I keep the teddy that Rose gifted me?"

Even thinking of that, I want to smile.
Rose gave me a gift. This day is so good.
My horoscopes must be excellent.

"See, you are smiling again. Lagta hai kuch aachi khabar hai." This time, Anu caught me.

Before I could say something, Mayank opened his mouth.

"Babhi woh wali khush khabar hai kya?" What does that mean? I thought.
("Babhi, is this "THAT" good news")

"Woh wali?" Rose asked, not understanding.
("THAT?")

"Arey woh wali," mayank rounded his hand on his stomach.
("THAT ONE")

"Sach Diya?" Anu shouted in excitement.
("Really Diya?")

"Mummy Papa aap dada dadi banne wale hoo," Anu added.
("Mom, Dad, you are going to be grandparents")

WHAT THE FUCKK!!!!!
How did they reach there?

Rose choked on her food. I gave her water and started patting her back.

"Aaram se bhabi bachhe pe asar padega" Mayank spoke again.
("Be careful, bhabhi the babuight get hurt")

"Kya bacche pe asar padega pehle Diya ke bareme soch." I spoke subconsciously .
("What 'baby will get hurt' think about diya first")
