POV: Bible

The drive felt like an eternity. It was already late at night, and the streets shimmered like twinkling stars from the reflections in the puddles. Bible, lost in thought, wondered, Did it rain? He hadn't even noticed before.

His inner Alpha, which had been restless, was starting to calm. The car was filled with a comforting mix of scents—his own smoky cedarwood and the spicy amber from the man next to him, that lingered in the air. Warm, woody, with just a hint of spice. It was, simply put, addictive and oddly soothing. Even the Enigma beside him, who had been tense, seemed to be relaxing as the atmosphere around them shifted into something almost peaceful.

As they turned onto a side street, Bible's heart began to pound again. Where is he taking me? The unease bubbled up inside him as they drove another ten minutes down a narrower road. The cityscape of houses and shops gradually gave way to nature, with towering poplar trees lining the sides of the street. It felt surreal, almost like they had left Bangkok altogether.

Soon, they approached a large gate, which swung open with impressive grandeur. As they drove in, Bible's eyes widened at the sight before him. It wasn't just a house—it was practically a temple. A massive, luxurious driveway circled a central fountain, the whole scene bathed in soft, ambient lighting. The car came to stop in front of the entrance.

A butler immediately appeared, opening the car door with precision, followed by two men who had been trailing behind in the car that had been driving behind them. The same two who had shoved him into the vehicle earlier. Bible stepped out, his eyes scanning the grand surroundings, a sense of unease creeping back into his chest.

Who is this man? Bible wondered, truly questioning for the first time.

Bible was used to luxury—his family was wealthy, after all—but this? This was on a whole different level. His eyes swept over the house, taking in the grandeur. He stayed quiet, knowing full well he wouldn't get any answers yet. And even if he wanted to run, there was no way out.

He quietly followed the men through the towering entrance door, almost three times his height. As he stepped inside, his breath caught. The interior was like nothing he'd ever seen in a private home—something straight out of a high-end hotel. Gold accents gleamed everywhere, with antique chandeliers lining the ceiling and a grand spiral staircase leading to the upper floor. It was overwhelming.

He barely registered the Enigma's voice as it commanded, "Bring him to his room." One of the men approached Bible carefully, head slightly lowered. "Sir, I'll take you to your room," he said softly. Bible just nodded, his fight drained from him in that moment. There was no resistance left.

As he entered the room, Bible was gently but firmly shoved inside. His eyes immediately landed on the large bed—it looked incredibly cozy and luxurious, like something out of a five-star suite. The door clicked shut behind him, sealing him in, and suddenly the room was filled with silence.

He stood there, unable to fully grasp how he had ended up in this situation. How is this even happening to me? It felt surreal, like a strange dream. But he was alive, and that, at least, was something.
