I am beautiful...
That was what I said to myself as I stared at myself that morning in front of the mirror in my uniform. A white buttoned-down, long-sleeve(for seniors) shirt, an orange and purple striped flair skirt, an orange tie and a dark purple blazer. I wore my white socks and black flat shoes.
Kosy still hadn't forgiven me. Not like I apologized or we even saw since Friday.
What I said hurt her so much and I could just imagine the pain she would be going through. I was supposed to be her best friend and not the person that reminded her about her past failed relationships. Kosy liked boys, She could see a random boy on the road and ask if he had a girlfriend because he was 'fine'. That was how much she liked boys.
She dated her first boyfriend in JSS3. Sounds crazy but it's true. His name was Nonso. He was not from our school. They met at LA mall. Tho, I never liked him and Derrick didn't either. Infact, we all didn't like him but Kosy kept on saying that we didn't know him as much as she does. She liked him a lot. Long story short, He cheated on her and wasn't even remorseful. When she was grieving, she met Dotun.
Unlike Nonso, Dotun was in our school. He actually liked Kosy and I'm sure he still does. Tho, they didn't last but he was actually my favourite. I liked him and Kosy's relationship, But, Derrick found out that Osina had threatened him to break up with Kosy because he wanted to pay back at me. The boy was scared of Osina so he did as he was told. When Dotun saw how miserable she was, He tried begging her but she didn't like him anymore. Infact, she hated him. Kosy and Dotun still saw each other at school. He still remains my favourite of Kosy's boyfriend.
Then the last and the most recent.
Dele
They started dating when we just started third term, SS1. Dele was not from our school. He was ot even in our class, neither was he in Ss2 or SS3 at that time. He was in uni. The boy always looked rugged and dangerous. Kosy and I have argued a lot of times because of him. Derrick actually liked him but Ifeanyi was avoiding us at that time but I still don't know why and I... I hated him. I tried warning Kosy about him but she didn't listen. She was willing to go any mile because...
She liked him..
No, Scratch that. She loved him. She loved him a lot. Infact, She loved him so much...
Too much that it turned unhealthy..
It ws slowly turning to obsession
And she believed so much that he was the one for her.
But boy was she wrong,
One night, my father hit my mother again so I decided to spend the night at Kosy's house but...
She.Wasn't.There.
A normal person would have gone back home but I had a bad feeling, I called her and she told me she was out with Dele in a resturant. While, she was busy blabbing non- stop about how her boyfriend took her out. Only one thing stayed in my head, D&A Resturant. That was where she was.
I was about to go home but something told me to go. To go to where she was. And that was exactly what I did. I went there only to find out the resturant was closed, but they were still lights on. I became worried when I heard screams.. really familiar screams
Kosy screams...
I called the boys, When we eventually opened the door after series of hitting and calling for people to help unlock the door. It finally opened.
