DAMI

As the bell rang for closing, I rush out of the class hoping to meet up with Kosy. The first week of school has passed so we are currently in our second weeek, Wednesday to be precise.

Ever since Kosy resumed, she has been ignoring me. Not really ignoring because I haven't even tried apologizing. Don't blame me because she makes it really hard to do so because she was always, emphasis on the always, with Samuel and his friends and God knows, I can't talk or apologize to her in front of them unless she's alone but the problem is, she's never alone.

It's obvious none of them likes her and how she's close to Samuel except the boy himself. During break, she sits at their table not minding the glares Davina sends her. In class, she walks pass my seat and the seat I saved for her and Ifeanyi. Yes, the same seat I argued with Rukky and Davina for and she hasn't even spared me a glance since last week. It's like she forgot she has a best friend.

I knew she can't keep ignoring me especially when Yemi resumes tomorrow. Yes, Yemi hasn't resumed till now, it's normal for her to resume a little late since she's a model. Yes, one of the most popular teen models in Africa at large. So she's probably busy with one of her numerous shoots and stuff.

How I know? Well, since I basically have no friend, two girls from our class occupied the chairs I saved for Kosy and Ifeanyi and has been gossiping and talking non-stop and I don't even know their names. Normally, I dont know or care about people but because of them, I knew about Yemi and her case

Just like Derrick hates Kalu__I don't know why tho__ and I hate Davina, Kosy hates Yemi with every fibre in her and she won't admit it, but she's jealous. She wants to be a model but Yemi is one. Yemi and her are rivals when it came to basketball and even when Davina and I fought, they would either be shooting daggers at each other or be arguing in their own corner.

Ifeanyi, on the other hand has tried apologizing to me but I didn't forgive him. Again, don't blame me because it was pretty obvious that he didn't regret ditching us that night especially since he still sat with Toriola. It's quite painful that both Ifeanyi and Kosy are doing fine without me while I'm not. Derrick couldn't even be counted because he's in science and we don't even see except during break, combined classes or closing.

After school shouldn't be counted either because he now tutors his seatmate, Asher. Their physics teacher chose who their seatmate would be becasue according to him, they distract themselves. So he paired the people that were academically sound with the ones who weren't. It's no suprise that Asher was so close to repeating SS1 last term when our results so in order for her grades to improve, Mr Obi told Derrick to tutor her after school everyday so he wasn't usually around

I am brought back into reality when I bump into a wall... Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, It wasn't a wall but is hard. I figure that it was someone, a male to be precise because of the muscular arms that stops me from falling and te hard chest I collided with.

I also notice I am standing in front of SS2A- Science making me wonder how I even got here

"Are you blind? You want me to fa...". I said. The words hung in my throat as I stared at the individual who bumped into me.

David Evans AKA Davina's twin brother..

As usual, his medicated glasses was slightly above the bridge of his nose but even with his glasses, I saw the look of concern on his face. We never talk, like literally never. We haven't said a single word to each other since we met when I resumed in SS1. Even when I argued with his friends or sister, we never talked. I only noticed how he observed everyone and is the quiet one in their group.
