Chapter 52

Elena's POV
I was heading inside the mall to go to work. I was meeting up with Justin later, and honestly I just wanted to spend as much quality time that I could.

I walked in to see Brooke's snotty ass.

"Pretty sure Justin's gonna enjoy seeing me all your whole you're here." She said smirking.

"Shut the hell up Brooke, you're full of it." I said.

I could already tell today was going to be such an annoying day. I didn't feel like coming to work but yet I did. I mean I only had a four hour shift but I was still pretty bummed. I should of took the day off when she told me.

I noticed Cole wasn't around today. I knew his work schedule and he was definitely scheduled for today. I walked around and fixed clothes on the way to go see if he was around here and then I saw him. Sitting down "folding" the new arrivals in the guys section. His eyes were really read and puffy. I knew I should have stopped caring but I didn't.

"Cole are you okay?" I asked.

"Does it look like I'm okay, leave me alone." He said as I sat next to him on a stool.

"Stop being an ass, what's wrong?" I asked him.

"You were right okay! Wanna shove it in my face now. She's been cheating on me." Cole said putting his head in his hand.

"Go home Cole, I'll take your shift. I'm not telling you shut cause I'm not an ass." I said looking at him.

"Why are being so nice to me?" He asked.

"Stop questioning it and just go home." I said.

"Thank you and I'm sorry." He said giving me a hug. I didn't even hug back I just continued on with my day. Because I took Cole's shift, I wasn't going to be able to see Justin. I could, but I would get to him until almost 11.

I knew I had to call him.

"Babe, I have to work a later shift than I thought." I said scared to hear his answer.

"Don't even even worry about it, I'm busy tonight tonight.. I was upset you were gonna be upset lol but I gotta go. I'll definitely see you tomorrow." He said.

"Oh okay lol, bye handsome." I said and hung up.

I worked the rest of the day with bitch as Brooke and her stupid remarks. I was so done with her talking about Justin but I stopped giving her the satisfaction of seeing me mad.

"Bye Elena! I'll see you tomorrow, after I'm done being at Justin's place." She said.

"Oh really? Please tell him I said hi, I really miss him." I said with a smile.

"I will." She said coldly.

"Yay thank you so much you're the best." I said laughing and leaving the store.

I was going to go home, but I decided to stop by Cole's to see how he was doing.

I knocked on the door, but his door was already opened so I walked inside.

"Cole?" I said.

Then I heard a sniff and crying from the hallway. I sat down in front of Cole as he cried in the darkness.

"Cole, I understand you guys have been together for awhile and what she did was wrong but please pick yourself back up." I said sympathetically.

"You don't understand, I loved her!" He said in between crying.

"There's someone out there for you, someone who's going to love you back and won't cheat on you, I promise you that." I said putting my arm on his.

Then he did something I didn't expect. He leaned in for a kiss and I pulled back right away standing up.

"What are you doing? Cole you know I have a boyfriend." I said confused.

"Just leave Elena." He said coldly.

"Cole!" I said as he started pushing me out.

"I don't wanna see you're face Elena!" He screamed closing the door on my face.

Sheesh, what was his deal I tried helping him and he continues to be a bitch after he tries kissing me?!? Something was wrong with him. I mean he did get his heart broken but I don't know. I could describe it. He was just in a bad position right now.
