When Harry turned eleven, the long-anticipated letter from Hogwarts arrived. Though he had known it was coming, excitement still bubbled within him. He would finally go to the same school his parents had attended, walk the same halls they had walked, and meet other witches and wizards his age.

But there was also apprehension. Harry had grown up surrounded by people who loved him, but they were all adults. The thought of making new friends, of being away from his close-knit family, made him nervous. He had heard stories from Sirius about Slytherins and bullies, and though he was eager to learn magic, he worried about being compared to his father—a legendary figure in Hogwarts’ history.

As the day of his departure approached, Lily and Petunia had different concerns. Lily fussed over his packing, making sure Harry had everything he needed, while Petunia sat quietly, watching her nephew with a pensive expression.

“It’s strange,” Petunia said one evening as she and Lily sat together after Harry had gone to bed. “All these years, I’ve been preparing for something bigger, something darker. But now, watching Harry leave for Hogwarts… it feels like I’m losing a part of him.”

Lily smiled softly, placing a hand on her sister’s. “You’re not losing him, Petunia. You’ve given him more than you know. He’ll always come back to us.”

Petunia nodded, but the feeling of unease lingered. She knew that Harry was no ordinary boy. Even without the scar on his forehead, his destiny was tied to powers far beyond what anyone at Hogwarts could understand. Petunia had sensed it ever since that fateful night at Godric’s Hollow—the same energy that had drawn Voldemort to Harry would one day return.

And when it did, she would be ready.
