As Voldemort’s presence grew, so did the danger. Attacks on wizarding families became more frequent, and the Ministry of Magic finally admitted the truth: the Dark Lord had returned. But even as fear spread, the Order of the Phoenix remained resolute. They knew that the final battle was coming, and they were determined to be ready.
Petunia had always been a shadowy figure in the magical war, assisting from the sidelines with her knowledge of the mystic arts. But when Harry, Sirius, and Remus were sent on a mission to investigate one of Voldemort’s possible Horcruxes, Petunia insisted on going with them.
“No more hiding,” she said firmly to Sirius when he tried to argue. “Harry is my family too, and I’m not going to let you fight this war without me.”
Sirius, ever the protective godfather, sighed but eventually relented. He had seen Petunia’s power firsthand, and deep down, he knew that they needed her.
The mission took them to a forgotten tomb in the mountains, a place where Voldemort had hidden one of his darkest creations. As they navigated through traps and curses, Harry could see the way Petunia handled the dark magic with ease, her hands glowing with mystic energy as she disarmed wards that even the most skilled wizards would struggle with.
At one point, when they found themselves surrounded by cursed creatures summoned to protect the Horcrux, Petunia stepped forward, her voice calm but commanding.
"Stay behind me," she said, raising her hands as a wave of light exploded from her palms, pushing the creatures back. They disintegrated in an instant, leaving only ashes in their wake.
Harry stared in awe, realizing just how powerful his aunt truly was.
“Where did you learn all of that?” he asked as they continued deeper into the tomb.
Petunia smiled faintly. “The world is bigger than just Hogwarts, Harry. Magic comes in many forms. You’ll see that one day.”
