listen, i also cannot explain why there were two "starvations" on the list but there were lmao

Ethan had no idea how much time had passed. At this point, his whole right arm was just wires, and half of his left was as well. He was running out of things to eat, and he was about to get desperate.

His legs were slowly getting better. He hadn't noticed initially, but they had been ripped to shreds, and as far as he could tell, the shattered bone of his right shin had stabbed up through his skin, definitely rendering his legs useless. But the wires had closed up those wounds as well, and he had spent the last few days trying to learn how to walk again.

Ethan steeled himself, bracing himself against the wall, and started limping out of the small shop he had been stuck in for days, weeks, maybe.

His stomach still ached with hunger, and Ethan wondered if any of the cast members were still alive. The thought of them, of their bare arms, blood spilling out of gashes in their skin, was enough to make his mouth water. Specifically that one who had appeared on the hospital bed when he was stuck on the carousel. His insides reminded Ethan of jello, lime jello. He wondered if he tasted like it too.

All thoughts of guilt or horror at his own thoughts had long since melted away, replaced by starvation. So much hunger, endless, aching hunger that kept him awake all night and filled his head with fantasies of stumbling into another person.

Of course, he could always be alone in here, but if that was the case, then Ethan supposed he would just have to escape here, leave to be in the world, so full of humans. He could almost taste their sweet blood on his tongue, the scent filling his mouth.

His stomach growled, and Ethan pushed on, ignoring the pain when his broken bone ground against the other side of the break. The pain would be worth it. He could hear voices now, and he grinned.
