The needle was pulled out quickly, and Anti melted into the table, letting out a shaky breath of relief. His whole body buzzed numbly, the feeling flooding into his head and making the room sway.
Anti, what's happening? What did you do? Chase asked nervously, pushing forward a bit, peeking out of his eyes to survey the damage.
Nothing, I swear... Anti murmured, his thoughts thick in his head. Chase, something isn't right...
Yeah, no fucking shit, Chase hissed.
Why do I feel like this and not you?
Just let me- Chase cut himself off as he pulled Anti away from being in control, and took over, watching as the room steadied.
The doctor had left for a moment, but returned now, his hands non-visible from where he held them.
"Hello, Chase," he said pleasantly, and Chase winced. "Your eyes look clearer than they should, did the medication work?"
Chase didn't answer, looking away with his eyes, focusing on a spot in the corner of the bright room instead.
The doctor examined him for a moment longer before shrugging, and lifted up his hand, exposing the scalpel to the light, where it glinted.
"If you can hear me, I'm sorry that this is what they've chosen to do with you, but I have to admit, I do hope it kills you. You're a major pain in the ass." The doctor's voice never soured, staying pleasant and smooth, a razor blade hidden in chocolate.
Chase's eyes widened slightly, his stomach dropping violently despite being horizontal.
The doctor quickly cut his shirt away using scissors, the metal cold on Chase's torso as they trailed up him, leaving goosebumps in their wake.
Ok, I take it back, Anti, come back, Chase whispered, searching his mind for the other. But he couldn't find him.
Anti!!
The scalpel was pressed to the base of his sternum, and before Chase could react, it stabbed into him and was dragged down, slicing him open.
Before it had even gone an inch, a scream ripped itself out of Chase's throat. Something shifted in the doctor's eyes, but he kept cutting, pulling the blade lower until Chase was more than certain that he could feel his own intestines hanging out of his stomach.
At this point, he couldn't even hear his own screams, they were drowned out by the buzzing in his ears, his vision starting to black out as blood pooled out of him, running down the table and splattering on the floor.
As his vision faded, the only thing he could think of was how he wished Anti would come back and save him.
