The inferno was consuming the car, sending sparks and flames into the dark night as Grey sprinted to the wreck. His heart pounded in his chest, fear tightening its grip on him. For a split second, he feared the worst, but when he wrenched open the door, the sight before him left him gasping in relief. There, in the midst of the chaos, Ritansh had shielded Rihaan with his body, his arms wrapped around his father’s head, protecting him from the impact.

"Boss!" Grey's voice cracked, filled with a mix of fear and hope as he knelt beside them. His breath hitched, waiting for a sign—any sign—that they were alive.

Ritansh, though covered in dust and bruises, looked up, his gaze steady. He was breathing heavily, but there was a fierceness in his eyes, an unspoken message that told Grey they had made it through. Slowly, he adjusted his grip on Rihaan, helping him sit up.

"What is this bullshit? Agar kuch ho jata toh?" Ritansh's voice trembled slightly, revealing a rare vulnerability as he brushed debris off Rihaan’s face. His usual icy demeanor cracked for the first time, showing just how deeply he cared. He was always protective, but he'd never let it show like this.

Rihaan’s gaze was distant, eyes hollow with pain and self-loathing. "Accha hota na. Manvika ko uska pyaar mil jata... Geetanjali Devi ko uski siyasat... aur tumhe ek papa." His voice was laced with bitterness, each word dripping with a kind of despair that even he had never allowed himself to feel before.

Ritansh’s face tightened, but his next action was swift and full of conviction. He leaned forward, wrapping his arms around Rihaan. "You are my father, Mr. Rihaan Singh Shekhawat. I'm your son, Ritansh Manvika Rihaan Singh Shekhawat. Don't forget this."

Rihaan froze for a moment, stunned by the words. His breath hitched again, and this time, tears spilled down his cheeks as he held Ritansh close. It was the first time in years that he had allowed himself to be vulnerable, to feel the weight of everything he had hidden beneath his hardened exterior. The man who had never shed a tear before the world was now sobbing into his son's arms, his pride and defenses shattering.

"Stop crying," Ritansh whispered softly, his hands gripping his father tightly. "I'm always with you, papa."

The word "papa" rang in Rihaan’s ears, bringing with it a flood of emotions. Seven years. Seven long years, and this was the first time Ritansh had called him that. A deep ache settled in Rihaan's chest, but it was accompanied by a smile that tugged at his lips. For the first time in what felt like forever, he felt seen—truly seen.

Ritansh stood up, holding out his hand. "Hold it and stand."

Without hesitation, Rihaan took his son’s hand, gripping it with a firmness that spoke of renewed strength. Together, they stood, the wreckage of the car burning behind them. Grey watched in silence, his heart pounding with relief as he saw the bond between father and son grow stronger in that moment.

"Grey, bring the car. We're going home."

Rihaan, however, shook his head and turned his face away. "I don’t want to go back to that place."

Ritansh raised an eyebrow, his smirk returning. "Don’t force me to kidnap you," he said, a teasing edge in his voice as he nudged Rihaan toward the waiting car. Despite the tension, there was a warmth between them that hadn’t been there before.
