The stillness of the night was interrupted by the sound of rattling chains as the girl stirred on the bed. Her mind was groggy, struggling to piece together fragments of scattered memories. Slowly, her eyes fluttered open, taking in her surroundings. The room was unfamiliar—dark, damp, and foreboding. The soft glow of the moon barely pierced through the grimy windows, casting eerie shadows on the walls.

Her heart raced as she tried to move. Her wrists were bound tightly to the bedposts, the cold metal digging into her skin. Panic set in.

“What the hell is this?” she muttered, her voice hoarse. Her body tensed as she yanked at the restraints, desperately trying to free herself. “Kholo mujhe!” she screamed, thrashing against the chains. The darkness pressed in closer, suffocating her as her mind spiraled into fear and confusion.

“Calm down, sweetheart.” A voice slithered through the darkness, cold and calculated, sending a chill down her spine.

Her head snapped in the direction of the voice. The shadows shifted, and there, in the far corner of the room, a figure emerged from the blackness. His face remained hidden, but the authority in his tone and the menace in his stance were unmistakable.

“Kholo mujhe!” Her voice was louder now, fury seeping into her every word. She tugged violently at the chains again, her breath coming in ragged gasps. She didn’t recognize this place, or him, but the danger felt all too real.

“No chance.” The man stepped closer, moving with a predator's grace. His face was still obscured, but the moonlight glinted off something metallic in his hand—a knife, maybe? She couldn’t tell. Her heart pounded louder, the rhythm deafening in the suffocating silence.

“Grey… untie me,” she demanded through clenched teeth, trying to regain control of the situation, though her body trembled with fear. Her voice dropped to a cold, steady tone, though the rage simmered beneath.

Grey, the man in the shadows, stopped just short of the bed, his presence overwhelming. He paused for a moment, letting the tension in the room thicken before suddenly lunging onto the bed, pinning her down with a swift, practiced movement. His hands locked her wrists above her head, his body pressed close as he hovered over her. The darkness seemed to wrap around them both, the air heavy with danger.

“Obey me,” he whispered, his breath hot against her ear, his lips grazing her neck. She could feel his smile against her skin. “And I’ll be gentle. But if you don’t…” He let the words hang, the threat clear. “I can’t promise which side of me you’ll meet.”

Her body tensed beneath him, her mind racing for a way out, but she could feel the restraint of his grip, the weight of his body keeping her trapped. Her breath quickened, and for a moment, her thoughts flashed back to earlier in the night—the attack, the violence, Vikrant’s cruelty. Her mind was a storm of chaos. But this... this was worse. There was something far more sinister lurking in the shadows here.

Grey’s eyes bore into hers, dark and unreadable, waiting for a reaction. But she remained silent, biting back the fear that threatened to consume her. After a long pause, he released her wrists and moved off the bed, sitting beside her, his eyes never leaving her face.
