In this chapter, the tension in Hari's life continues to rise, with misunderstandings, romantic confusion, and secrets piling up.
Hari and her friends, including Yuna, Min-woo, and Yoo-ra, gather for dinner. During the meal, Yoo-ra tries to stir things up, baiting Yuna into revealing that Hari has a boyfriend. The topic piques Min-woo's curiosity, and he asks Hari about this supposed boyfriend. Hari hesitates but eventually says it's the guy she went to the concert with, an answer that visibly makes Min-woo jealous. Yoo-ra, ever perceptive, notices Min-woo's reaction. The group makes plans to accompany Min-woo to Busan for a TV program that weekend. Yuna then tells them that Hari already has plans with her boyfriend that weekend, further fueling the mystery and tension surrounding Hari's love life.
Meanwhile, Hari anxiously awaits Wonho's decision regarding her resignation. To her relief, Wonho tears up her resignation letter right in front of her, effectively forgiving her for the lies she's told. Hari is overjoyed and thanks him profusely. However, her relief turns to confusion when Wonho tells her they will meet that evening to work on a "secret project."
The "secret project" turns out to be a trip to the cinema, where Wonho says they'll watch a film about car development as research. In a playful and slightly awkward moment, Hari struggles to recline her chair, and Wonho moves in to help her. For a brief moment, it looks like he might kiss her, but Hari quickly rushes to the bathroom, overwhelmed by the closeness.
When she returns, Hari sees two of her co-workers entering the same movie theatre. Panicked, she rushes back to hide Wonho from being spotted with her. Wonho, trying to avoid being seen, is forced to crawl out of the theatre on his hands and knees. Hari is left to watch the movie with her colleagues, while Wonho narrowly escapes detection.
Wonho, determined to spend more time with Hari, comes up with another plan. He invites her on a business trip to Sokcho-si, a coastal city, turning it into an opportunity to bond. The two go to the beach, eating at a food truck, and Wonho begins asking Hari more personal questions. She notices how attentive he is and starts feeling something more, though she is unsure of how to navigate their complicated dynamic.
Meanwhile, Yuna and Woozi's relationship takes a dramatic turn. They run into each other at a restaurant yet again, and Woozi finally confronts Yuna about why she's been avoiding him. As they leave the restaurant, Woozi follows her, concerned because she has had too much to drink. In a drunken confession, Yuna admits that she fell for Woozi the first time she saw him. This vulnerable moment leads to the two kissing in the street, marking a turning point in their relationship.
Back in Sokcho-si, the mood takes a darker turn during Hari and Wonho's return from the beach. As it starts to rain, Wonho is overwhelmed by flashbacks of his parents' tragic death in a car accident, which happened in similar weather. He begins to panic, hearing his younger self cry out for his parents. In his distressed state, he abruptly drops Hari off on the side of the road and drives away, leaving her stranded. Hari's phone dies, but she spots a nearby hotel and walks toward it.
After calming down, Wonho returns to the spot where he left Hari, but she's nowhere to be found. As fate would have it, Hari runs into Yoo-ra at the hotel. Yoo-ra and the group, who are there for Min-woo's filming, insist on seeing Hari's boyfriend, wanting to confirm his identity.
In a dramatic twist, Wonho appears just in time, stepping in to introduce himself as Hari's boyfriend, leaving everyone, especially Hari, shocked. The episode ends with tension hanging in the air, as Hari is forced to navigate the consequences of Wonho's sudden declaration.
