The last chapter brings a whirlwind of emotions as all the stories start to conclude. Chairman Jin calls Woozi, demanding that he break up with Yuna, but insists he keep it a secret from her. However, Yuna overhears the conversation. Though she pretends not to care, Woozi senses how deeply hurt she is by her father's controlling nature.
Meanwhile, Hari's mother becomes suspicious of her daughter's whereabouts after she catches Wonho dropping her off in the morning. She scolds both of them for being so careless. Once the tension eases, they all sit down for lunch together to celebrate Yuna's birthday. During the meal, Wonho bravely announces his intentions to date and eventually marry Hari. Hari's parents express concern about the scandal that could erupt due to their lower social status, but Wonho reassures them of his love.
After lunch, Wonho has a private conversation with Hari's father. Her father implores him to protect Hari from the inevitable gossip and scandal their relationship might attract. Wonho vows to do everything in his power to shield her from harm.
Hari also meets up with Min-woo for a final goodbye. He apologizes for all the pain Yoo-ra caused and admits that he and Yoo-ra were never right for each other. He confesses his plans to travel the world and asks if they can be close friends again when he returns. Hari, however, tells him that might take time. They shake hands and part ways, finally bringing closure to their complicated relationship.
Meanwhile, Yuna, defiant in the face of her father's demands, visits him—but not to reconcile. Instead, she hands him her resignation. She's determined to live life on her own terms. Woozi, knowing how important this step is for Yuna, cooks her a special birthday meal. Yuna reveals that she plans to start her own business, and Woozi, always supportive, offers to invest if she can create a solid business plan. He even surprises her with a large sum of money to help her get started.
At work, Wonho receives a call saying his grandfather has collapsed. Panicked, he prepares to rush to the hospital. However, when the call doesn't disconnect, Wonho overhears his grandfather laughing—realizing it was all a ploy to get him to come. Hari decides to visit the chairman instead, hoping to win him over by spending time with him. Though Chairman Kang initially orders her out, Hari stays to help him, bringing him tea, watching TV with him, and even singing for him. Despite his gruff exterior, it becomes clear that he's growing fond of her, even if he refuses to show it.
Later, the doctor informs Wonho that it's fortunate his grandfather came in for a checkup. They discovered severe heart problems that cannot be treated in Korea. Wonho tells Hari that he must take his grandfather to the U.S. for treatment and asks her to come with him. However, Hari refuses, fearing the rumors that might follow if she were to leave with him. She doesn't want to create more problems for Wonho, especially since his grandfather still doesn't approve of her. They agree not to break up but decide to take a break from seeing each other, and Wonho asks her to wait for him.
A year passes. Hari continues working with her development team, where Ms. Yeo and Mr. Gye are now married, working opposite each other in a fun, competitive way. Woozi has taken time off to help Yuna establish her business, and they are both thriving together.
Wonho has spent the year managing the New York branch while Chairman Kang continues to receive treatment. Hari and Wonho stay in touch through video calls, but Wonho's work often interrupts them. One day, Hari comes across an article hinting at a romance between Wonho and another woman. Troubled by the rumors, she tries to reach him for answers but gets no response. Determined to get to the bottom of things, she plans a trip to New York, only to have Wonho show up in Seoul just as she is about to leave.
Wonho reassures Hari that the rumors are completely false. He then reveals that his grandfather had given him strict instructions not to return to the States without first giving her a special gift. He hands her a small box, which, when opened, reveals a beautiful engagement ring. Wonho gets down on one knee and proposes to Hari. Overcome with joy, she accepts, and they share a passionate kiss, sealing their future together.
With their love tested by time, distance, and family drama, Hari and Wonho finally get their happy ending.
