Seconds turned to minutes, minutes to hours and hours to days and still Y/N couldn't figure out why Sylus wouldn't let her leave.

It had been almost a week since they met at the auction and she was still with him.

She hated the situation she was in, always hoping that a miracle would happen and she'd be set free or would be able to escape.

Atleast it wasn't that bad, Mephisto wasn't as obnoxious and loud as he was the first few days of their meeting and she'd often kill time with the twins or read a book in the library.

After interrogating the twins, which took quite a while, she got to know that Sylus was indeed affluent and in the largest way possible. In their own words;

*He's so rich that he gets top fashion designers to design and sew his clothes*

Y/N sat on a chair in the library flipping through a book on gun manufacturing. Due to her interrogations, she also got to find out that Sylus makes weapons as part of his many hobbies, even the guns she used at the docks were made by him.

'An evil man with amazing talents...what a waste.' She thought as she flipped through the pages. The twins were out on an errand and Mephisto was in maintenance which was done by Sylus.

They had moved to one of the many Onychinus bases within the N109 Zone, he also had estates and his private living space in many places. What did she expect from an arrogant rich man?.

The silence was deafening, she missed Tara and the hunter association constantly wondering if her bestfriend was looking for her or if new wanderers had spawned. The boredom was killing her and just when she thought things couldn't get any worse Sylus took her phone away.

Whenever they were in the same room, none of them said a word to the other the silence and the level of awkwardness eventually won the battle and Sylus ended up excusing himself.

Earlier that day, Y/N and Sylus found themselves in the lounge. Sylus sat crossed legged from Y/N who was seated like a 5 year old on the couch. She was on her phone, not really doing anything, just going through social media to distract her self from the ever so body burning gaze of the silver haired man.

Sylus went through a file, occasionally stealing glances at her, her hair framed her small face perfectly and she giggled every now and then which made him wonder what she was actually up to on her phone.

Y/N had a small smile on her face as she watched the cat and crow interaction videos on her phone, it was something she had found entertaining and would kill time by watching them for hours at a stretch. Just then, deep tone-deaf humming made it's way to her ears, she looked up from her phone and saw Sylus humming as he went through his papers.

Feeling cocky, she tried to take a video without him knowing only for her plan to back fire.

"What are you doing?." Sylus asked with a raised eyebrow.

Y/N panicked, almost dropping the phone, she caught before it could fall and hid it behind her.

He immediately caught on to her, eyes fixed on her fidgety form.

Sylus found her attempts to deceive him adorable and was disappointed that she couldn't execute her plans better.

There was a brief silence as he stared at her from behind his silver rimmed glasses.

"I asked you a question."

"It's nothing I was just taking a selfie..."
She lied, hoping he'd buy it but Sylus wasn't even trying to hide that he didn't believe her.
