Sylus and I had gotten closer after that night, the memories of the kiss we shared replayed itself over and over always bringing a smile to my face. He had gone away for a few days, leaving me alone in the mansion with the twins and the helps that came around occasionally.

I sat behind the desk in his study, letting curiosity get the best of me. His glasses laid on the desk beside its case.

I wonder how he saw the world through those burning eyes of his. What really ran through his mind?. I sighed and picked up the glasses, holding it a few inches away from my face.

Everything looked clearer and more colorful, almost hurting my eyes. I looked around the desk, papers and files placed here and there.

I scoped through the mess of documents until something strange caught my eyes. I placed the glasses back on the desk and took the paper.

There was almost nothing written on it. Just a sentence that read;

"You can't keep the aether core for yourself, don't be selfish Sylus."

I rose an eyebrow, slightly puzzled by the written sentence. The rest of the paper was blank, that was the only thing written on it.

I sat in silence for a few seconds, until for some reason I began feeling uneasy. My heart felt strange pounding hard against my chest. My breath became uneven and I felt dizzy.

"Consume..."

The door flung open revealing the tall man that had gone away a few days earlier, his piercing red eyes brightened up and a sly smile curled on his lips.

"Sylus-"

"You couldn't wait a few days sweetie?" He asked.

The voice in my head had faded away, leaving me with a painful feeling in my chest.

I flashed a longing smile at him, folding my arms and crossing my legs.

"Hah, as if...I was only snooping through your stuff,"

I stated pretending as though I found nothing.

"Turns out you're a really boring man when you work."

He chuckled and walked over, closing the door behind him.

"Seems you still don't have me all figured out-"

He took off his jacket and draped it over his arm, resting on the desk while looking down at me.

"I hate anything boring, sweetie."

I glanced at the paper for a split second then back at him with a smirk.

"I don't believe you,"

"You don't?"

"Yeah."

I said feeling smug. Sylus threw his jacket on my face and before I knew it, I was lifted from the chair and was placed on the desk.

"Ugh-" I groaned and peeled the jacket off my face.

Sylus had now taken my spot on the chair, seated in front of me with his big hands on my thighs.
