Just when things could get any better, it didn't. Atleast for Y/N. She sat on the beach towels too upset to have fun. Her friends had left to get some snacks, meanwhile she offered to stay and watch their things.

Getting a call from Sylus wasn't what she wanted let alone seeing him. She felt as though her plan to enjoy the day was ruined  and now she just wanted to go home.

She stayed by herself for a few minutes watching the ocean and the people that had their fun. In a distance she spotted Tara running towards her with two ice creamcones in hand.

"Y/N!" She seemed mostly excited.

Y/N immediately had a smile on her face. She stood up waiting for her friend to approach her. In no less than a minute, Tara stopped running, almost breathless.
She handed an ice-creamcone to Y/N who gladly accepted it with a smile on her face.

"Why were you running?...what's going on?" Y/N asked.

"There's a horse race going on and Alex and Taylor are competing...come on!"

Y/N tried pulling herself back but Tara had already taken her by the wrist and was pulling her to the event. She could feel nervousness creep up her form. She knew Sylus would be there.

She saw him go over on a horse, so that means he was also there. She tried to retain as much composure as she could.

As they approached the event, Y/N could see the horses and their riders being prepared for the race. Her heart beat faster with anticipation and anxiety.

She could feel Sylus's presence around the event, which made her even more nervous. She tried to stay calm, but her heart wouldn't slow down.

Finally, Y/N managed to stop her heart before it leapt out her chest. Tara left her by the sidelines to find Lois which erupted her nerves once more, what if he showed up and she didn't have enough of a reason to leave.

Her eyes looked around the event. People cheering and jumping around in excitement. She felt like a fish out of water. Even though she wanted to be excited she couldn't bring herself to be so, not when he was running around.

Just then, something nuzzled her neck. She jumped a bit and turned to look at whatever it was. Her eyes widened when she realized it was a  horse that stood beside her. The same black horse that Sylus rode on.

She reached out to touch it's mane, enjoying the feel of its soft yet strong texture. The horse seemed friendly and calm, nuzzling into her neck once more as if to get her attention.

"Hmm?" She turned to it and ran her fingers through its mane.

"Where's your rider?"

The horse nuzzled into her hand not bothered by her touch instead it relished the feeling of her slender fingers in its mane.

Y/N could feel the heat radiating off it's body, the strength of its muscles underneath its black coat. The horse was beautiful.

"If you like it, maybe you should ride it."

The all too familiar voice made its way to her ears. She turned her head to the right while patting the horse's shoulder. Sylus stopped before her, then gave the horse a rub on its neck.

"Long time no see, Miss hunter." He said.

Y/N stayed calm, ignoring the loud pounding in her chest and the flashing images of her dream.

"Sylus. Why are you here?" She asked.

Sylus hummed and looked away from her.

"Luke and Kieran said there was a horse racing challenge in Linkon. I was less busy so I thought to give it a try." He looked back at her with a straight face.
