The waves crash against the shore, although harsh creating a calming rhythm around me. A steady rhythm. Steady being a word I haven't used to describe my life for a while.

"Look at her, sun bathing in Italy, running away from her rich family, her hot bodyguard following her like a dog on a leash. She's living the life." Edwina dramatically sighs.

I crack an eye open, raising an eyebrow when I see her doing the exact same thing...minus the bodyguard part.

"I thought your moto was fuck all men?" Aniyah comments with a laugh as she and Annalise get back from a seller with 4 cold water bottles.

"It is, and she can definitely fuck him." Edwina says.

I laugh knowing full well I wouldn't hesitate had the opportunity been found.

"Look at her giggling, oh and the blush!" Annalise gushes, sitting down on the sunbathing chair next to me.

"Well he isn't exactly not hot. I mean...can you really blame me?" The answer was no. No you can't. Anyone with eyes and a shot of common sense could tell you Dimitri Romanov was the finest man they would ever encounter.

"Okay Babes however unless you are prepared to tell him that to his chiseled face I'd suggest you stop talking considering he's coming our way." Annalise warns, nudging me with her arm.

"Ms. Blanchet?"Dimitri calls, his accent making my name sound like a slice of heaven.

"Yes?" I sit up, analyzing his clothes. He's fully dressed in the hot scolding sun. Guns and belts and all.

"We've gotten a tip that there are people following you four, most likely family enemies. We have to get you back to the estate." He says, his words holding urgency, his tone holding indifference.

The girls and I widen our eyes as dangers and risks pop in our heads, rushing to pack our stuff and reach safety. Each of us not a stranger to overthinking.

We follow Dimitri through the twist and turns from the local street market in between my family's house and the beach. Bumping and tripping over too many people to count in the busy streets.

We finally make it to the SUV, me in the passenger seat and the rest in the back. I spot an identical vehicle smoothly leading in front of us and another one following our tale.

"So who did my family upset?" I ask, desperate to hear his voice again...yes I am aware that I am in a potential life or death situation.

His eyes fleet to me before they refocus on the bumpy road. "The Spanish."

My body goes frigid, completely tensing. I might be dramatic or paranoid but there was something in the way he said the Spanish... he almost sounded proud...

"Spanish?" Aniyah scrunches her eyebrows in confusion.

"A Spanish company who's in competition with the De Costas nothing much to worry about, just taking precautions." Dimitri interrupts, sending me a warning glare.

Who the fuck does this asshole think he is?!

"Are we going back to the house?" Edwina asks.

"Yes, however you will be advised against going outdoors...and by advised I mean that my men will not let you out until deemed safe."
