Mina POV
Mina lay in her bed, staring at Minho's name and number on the napkin. She couldn't stop thinking about the way he looked at her the night of the concert. And then how his eyes had smiled at her, even though his mask covered his mouth and nose when he came into the coffee shop she worked at. That moment kept replaying in her mind, making her heart race. She wondered if he felt the same connection she did, and she held onto the napkin as if it was a lifeline to something more.
She remembered how he had walked into the coffee shop. When their eyes met, it was as if time stood still. His eyes, so expressive and full of life, seemed to convey a thousand unspoken words. The memory of that encounter made her smile, and she couldn't help but feel a flutter of hope in her chest.
Mina sighed softly, imagining what it would be like to see him again, to hear his voice, and to share more moments that made her heart race. The napkin, now slightly crumpled, was a symbol of possibility and the start of something new. She knew she had to take a chance, to reach out and see where this connection might lead.
Mina sat up, her heart pounding with anticipation. She decided to text Minho, but as she typed out her message, she found herself second-guessing every word. She typed, "Hey Minho, it's Mina from the coffee shop." Then she deleted it.
Next, she tried, "Hi Minho, remember me from the concert? I can't stop thinking about when our eyes met." But that felt too forward, so she deleted it again.
Frustrated, she typed and deleted several more messages, each one feeling either too casual or too intense. Finally, she took a deep breath and simply wrote, "Hi, it's Mina." She hit send before she could overthink it again.
While waiting for his response, she paced back and forth, her phone lying on the bed. Each second felt like an eternity. Then, her phone dinged. She stopped in her tracks, her heart skipping a beat, before slowly reaching for it.
She eagerly opened Minho's response.
"Hey Mina, great to hear from you. How are you?"
Her heart fluttered at his friendly tone, and she quickly started typing her reply, feeling a bit more confident.
"Hi Minho! I've been good, thanks. How about you? I really enjoyed our conversation at the café."
Minho's response came quickly. "I've been good too. I had a great time as well. I'd love to see you again before the members and I have to head back to Seoul."
Mina's excitement grew. "That sounds great! How about we meet up this weekend? Maybe we could check out that new art exhibit downtown?"
"Sure sounds interesting," Minho replied. "Saturday afternoon?"
"Saturday afternoon works for me. I'm looking forward to it," Mina typed back, her anticipation building.
"Me too, Mina." Minho responded.
Mina put down her phone, her heart light and a smile on her face. She was already looking forward to their next meeting.
~~ Saturday Morning ~~
Mina stood in front of her closet, biting her lip as she scanned through her clothes. Her room was already a mess, with various outfits strewn across her bed and floor. She picked up a floral dress and held it up to her body, examining herself in the mirror.
"Too summery," she muttered, tossing it aside.
Next, she tried on a sleek black dress. It fit her well, but she felt it was a bit too formal for an art exhibit. She sighed and changed into a casual jeans-and-blouse combo. Looking in the mirror, she frowned.
"Too casual," she said, shaking her head.
Finally, she pulled out a soft white dress and a light pink cardigan. Her long black hair flowed down her shoulders, completing the look. She looked at herself in the mirror. The outfit was comfortable yet stylish, perfect for a relaxed date at an art exhibit. She smiled, feeling satisfied.
"This is the one," she said to herself, her excitement for the date with Minho growing.
Lee Know POV
Minho stood in front of his wardrobe, contemplating his outfit for the day. He wanted to look good but also needed to be cautious about his identity. He pulled out a simple black shirt and paired it with a comfortable pair of jeans.
"Casual but nice," he thought, nodding to himself.
He then grabbed a light grey sweater and a baseball cap from his luggage. The cap would help him blend in and avoid drawing too much attention. He also picked up a black mask to cover his face.
Minho looked at himself in the mirror, adjusting the cap and making sure the mask hid most of his face well.. He wanted to be prepared for any situation where he might be recognized.
"Perfect," he said softly, feeling ready and excited for the date with Mina.
He stood by the door, adjusting his black face mask.
Han, who had been lounging on the bed, glanced up and smirked. "Are you going to see that girl from the coffee shop?" he teased, a playful glint in his eyes.
Minho rolled his eyes, trying to hide his smile. "Mind your own business, Han," he said, shaking his head.
Han burst into laughter. "Alright, alright. Have fun and don't get caught!" he called out as Minho stepped out of their shared hotel room, feeling both nervous and excited.
