I lay in bed again,
Mitski on repeat

I feel the soil of the sheets,
Beckoning me to join the earth once more

Root bound by the duvet,
No moisture in sight

The sunlight barely registers,
Is it morning or noon still?
Why can't time stop for a moment,
Let me catch my breath

My eyes shut as I succumb to the peace of rotting slowly

May flowers grow in my place,
At least they won't waste what I have
