Painting from Memory

I tried to paint your picture from memory but every stroke on the canvas has seemed to be tinted and shadowed and the more i paint the less i can make you out

So I try and i paint again but each time proves to be worse than before, darker and even less clear i pushed hard with the brush until I was throwing myself into the piece
