me and eric decided for just the two of us to go save sarah. we opened the church doors and walked in there quietly with our birds on our shoulders. we saw top dollar standing at the front of the church with a gun in his hand. sarah was tied up to a pole that was under the stairs to the church. there was duct tape over her mouth.

the raven and the crow stood on the top of a church pew side by side. suddenly , a man with a sniper shot both of our birds. me and eric both gave each other an "oh shit" look.

top dollar walked towards us , grinning from ear to ear. "lemme give you two a quick impression .. CAW! CAW! BANG! FUCK , I'M DEAD!" top dollar chuckled.

"give me the girl .. and i'll let you walk out of here." said eric. "just gimme a minute to think about that." said top dollar , turning to walk away from us.

"nah .. fuck it .." he turned around and shot eric in the shoulder. i immediately froze. i couldn't move. top dollar left to let eric die. before that strange man tried to shoot our birds again , i shot him.

top dollar's weird sister , myca , took both of the birds and ran off. i ran after her. she got of top of the stairs and shot me in the chest before i could even reach her.

i groaned loudly and sat against the wall , holding my chest. eric suddenly came up to me. "you were supposed to get out of here." i coughed. "i don't give a shit , eric." he sighed and went after myca.

they were right above me. "this is all the power you and her have ever had." she said. i heard the birds make noises. "pity .. there's no more time for us."

suddenly , she started screaming. the railing of the stairs broke off as she fell right in front of me. the raven and the crow plucked her eyes out. both of them flew away.

half of the wooden roof of the church was gone because of how old it was. eric was now on the roof. sarah was hanging onto the edge of the roof. eric took the sharp cross off the top of the church and started sword fighting top dollar.

top dollar suddenly stabbed eric in the heart. "NO!" i screamed out. eric sat down against the chimney. "whatever happened a year ago with you and your girlfriend .. i cleared that building." he said to him.

"there's something i wanna give you .." said eric. "i don't want it anymore .." he put his thumbs on top dollar's eyes. i knew what he was doing. he was projecting all of the pain shelly went through in the hospital.

"THIRTY HOURS OF PAIN!" yelled eric. top dollar groaned in agony and eric pushed him off the roof. his body landing on a gargoyle , stabbing him through the heart.

eric picked sarah up and made his way downstairs. anastasia came in there. "is everything okay?" she asked. eric handed sarah to her. "get sarah out of here and call 911. kat needs help.""

anastasia nodded and ran out of there , holding sarah in her arms. eric sat beside me. we met eyes. "i was trying to help you , eric." i said. eric sighed. "i was gonna die anyways."

i felt an intense rush of anger. "if i die first , then i guess i'll just have to kill you too." eric looked at me as if i was insane. "what?! what the fuck are you talking about , katrina?!"

i climbed on top of him with that same anger flowing through me. eric tried to struggle but was too weak. i stabbed him with my pocket knife. he started choking on his own blood.

before i could pull the knife out , he kissed me before reaching for a gun , shooting me in the head. i felt my whole world go black as i fell on top of him.

he died before i did.

third person pov
eliza walked into the church , worried about her best friend who she just got back. she saw eric and kat's dead bodies before falling to her knees and starting to sob. she caressed kat's head before going outside to tell the other's what went down.

anastasia was still holding sarah in her arms while jason and loretta were out there with her , waiting for the ambulance to come. veronica and chris were there as well.

"they're dead .." said eliza. "eric was stabbed and kat had a gunshot wound in her head .. she was laying on top of him .. they killed each other .."

anastasia cried onto jason's shoulder and loretta leaned her head on anastasia's shoulder. veronica hugged chris and started crying as well. "we need to get sarah home .." anastasia said as she was sobbing.

everyone looked up at the sky to see the raven and the crow flying in the sky. "they'll be back." jason reassured everyone. all of them went to take the child home.

"if the people we love are stolen from us , the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them. buildings burn , people die , but real love is forever."
