16 years later

it's been 16 years. a lot has happened during that time.

when pierce turned two , me and eric tried for another baby. we were successful. nine months later , i gave birth to a daughter and i named her emma. pierce was really fond of her when they were little but not so much now.

jason and anastasia revived their daughter , violet , as a baby shortly after pierce was born. both him and violet have been close ever since.

loretta's story was different , however. because of how much she didn't want the baby , the cardinal took her immortality away. she didn't know this until she gave birth to her daughter , lucille. loretta died at the hospital. jason and anastasia treat lucille , or lucy , like their daughter , making her and violet basically sisters instead of cousins.

chris and eliza had also had a son , nick , a year after pierce was born , giving me and eric a nephew. pierce and emma now have an annoying cousin to give them hell. i knew that i was going to be the aunt of eliza's kids either way but this was even better knowing that she's with my husband's brother.

me , eric , jason , anastasia , and all of our kids live in the lake house still.

emma has recently got admittd into a private high school that she's worked so hard for. she has been wanting to go to yale all of her life no matter how many times me and eric tried to convince her not to go that far away from us.

pierce is a different story though. he's been picked on bad in school ever since he started. we've tried therapy multiple times but it hasn't helped. all of the bullying has caused him to act out and get tattoos all over his body without asking me or eric. eventually , he couldn't take it anymore so he dropped out of school.

eric has been acting weird lately. i can't tell if it's because of the situation with pierce or that he's hiding something. i'd like to believe that it's the first option.

eric's pov

it was the morning. i woke up at 6 am to take emma to school. katrina was still sleeping soundly next to me. i kissed her cheek gently before getting up. she groaned slightly before rolling over.

i went to the bathroom connected to our room to go brush my teeth. as i was brushing my teeth , i looked at myself in the mirror. even though i'm 45 years old , my physical age doesn't change because of my immortality.

my eyes then went to the scars from the bullets that shot me all those years ago. i think of that day everyday. i think of what would've happened if i wouldn't have met katrina.

after i got done brushing my teeth , i put on my black leather pants and a black long sleeve shirt. it was chilly outside today so i put of my leather trench coat that i stole from tin tin all those years ago.

i went to the kitchen to go make a cups of coffee for katrina and emma. jason and anastasia's daughter , violet , was sitting at the table while eating a bowl of cocoa puffs and reading a book. she was already dressed in her uniform for school. her and emma go to the same school.

"whatcha reading?" i asked her as i poured coffee into two mugs. she sighed. "some book for school." she said. i put creamer in both of the coffees and some extra sugar in katrina's mug. i stirred the sugar in.

i walked towards the stairs to yell for emma. "emma , you almost ready?" she walked downstairs , putting her bookbag over her shoulder.

"honey , you should probably put on your sweater. it's chilly outside." i said to her. she sighed and hung her bookbag on the back of one of the dining chairs to go get her navy blue sweater that had her school's symbol on the upper left corner.

after she came downstairs , so did anastasia in her nursing uniform. she had got her job back shortly after violet was revived. "thanks for taking the girls to school , eric. i'm off to work !!" she said before leaving.

violet cleaned up the table and grabbed her bookbag off of the back of her chair and put it on her shoulder. "em , do you know if pierce is awake?" i asked emma as i handed her the coffee.

she shrugged as she took a sip. "i heard him leave his room." ever since pierce got a driver's license , he's been taking full advantage of it. i gave katrina her coffee and a kiss before leaving to drop the girls off.

time skip

after i dropped emma and violet off at school , i went to this abandoned gas station that i've been going to a lot recently.

i have been seeing this woman named marissa. the woman that appeared at the baby shower years ago. i've tried and tried to stop seeing her but it's like she's hypnotizing me.

i got out of the car. she was already there waiting for me. she walked up to me and tried to kiss me. "hey , eric." i pushed her away before she could make a move.

"i don't wanna do this anymore , marissa. this isn't right." i told her , hoping she wouldn't get mad. unfortunately , she did look pissed at me. "you're not leaving me. not on my watch." she said sternly.

her eyes glowed for a few moments , taking over my body to hypnotize me. she then started kissing me. i couldn't do anything. i was under her control. strangely enough , i couldn't get rid of the feeling that someone was watching us.
