QUICK NOTE BEFORE THE CHAPTER: (l/n) = (Last name)!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A loud rattling, metal sound was heard, which caused you to wake up, your back hurting from the cold hard surface which you had slept on the past few days, and your wrists and feet feeling heavy from the seastone chains attached to them, making you wobble towards the sound in pain, even though you wouldn't admit that it hurt.

"Food, (l/n)" A deep voice that you were already familiar with called you from behind the metal bars that kept you locked in that filthy, dark dungeon where not even a single ray of sunshine could get into.

"Coming..." You said powerlessly as you made your way to the bars, swaying like a drunk person who spent the night drinking sake bottles, from the lack of strength.

"Here you go" The Marine officer said as he laid a plate of food on the ground for you to eat along with a spoon.

"Thank you..." Less than a second later after you thanked the guard you immediately grabbed the spoon and began eating the food.

It wasn't all that bad staying there. The guards were nice too. You were even given your art supplies to draw. The room temperature felt good. It was nice.

But you couldn't say the same about Zoro. You hadn't seen him in a few weeks now and you were really worried about had what happened to him.

Is he alright?

Is he hungry?

Is he thirsty?

Is his skin burning from the sun?

Is he getting cold from the night air?

Is he still tied up outside?

Is he fainted?

Is he even alive...?

...

Millions of thoughts plagued your mind night and day... Even though you had no idea what time of the day it was since you hadn't seen the sun in weeks... But you were still worried like hell for Zoro. You knew he was strong and you knew he could easily overcome this challenge with ease, but you didn't trust that Helmeppo guy with the ugly-ass chin, for all you care he could have killed Zoro by now and just left you in here to rot away... Hell, he might have killed him the first day and you wouldn't have known...

"Hello...? Can you tell me if... uhh... Zoro is ok...?" You ask the officer with a pleading voice, it was always the same Marine officer that came down here to give you food, and he's been so nice to you all this time that maybe you could give it a shot and ask. It wouldn't hurt to try.

"I'm sorry but I can't tell you"

You looked at him with a face full of worry and pleaded again.

"Can you at least tell me if he's alive...? Please... He's the only friend I have..."

"..."

"Please..."

The marines sighed and started walking back up the stairs and out of the dungeon and you looked down in sadness, thinking of the worst.

"Yes"

You looked back the stairs, seeing as how the guard had stopped to confirm Zoro's status, making a small smile form on your face without you even noticing.

"Thank you..."

The guard then began walking again and went up the stairs, finally leaving the dungeon where you were being kept, leaving you alone in there yet again, but this time you knew Zoro was still alive, and that made the bad thoughts go away...

The next day (not that you knew that a day had passed, you just thought it did)... You were awoken by a new voice calling for you, it sounded sweet like it came from a little boy but at the same time desperate, almost as if in a hurry to find you.

"(y/n), (l/n)?! Is there a (y/n), (l/n) here?!"

"I'm... here..." You said while getting up from the uncomfortable bed (if you could even call it that)

"Oh thank goodness I found you! Come on, I have to get you out of here" He said with something on his hand, and by the jiggling sound it made you figured were the cell keys, but how did that boy get them...?

"Why should I trust you...?" You asked, looking at him with an untrusting glare as he ran in your direction after opening the cell door and getting down to unlock the seastone chains attached to your feet.

"Zoro-san sent me! He said you were down here in this dungeon and didn't let me free him first, saying I had to come get you before untying him, so we have to hurry!"

Your eyes widen, did Zoro seriously care more about you than himself to the point he refused to be freed unless you were released first? The thought made your face heat up a little, but thank goodness it was so dark down in the dungeon that the boy wouldn't be able to notice... Speaking of who... was it just because your eyes were not in great condition after being kept in the dark for so long... or was his hair pink?

Either way, you were thankful to him to finally be free from those heavy seastone chains that sucked your strength away, maybe you shouldn't have tried to escape back in the bar using your abilities... That way maybe you wouldn't have had to deal with those annoying seastone cuffs.

"Thank you...?"

"Koby, my name is Koby, my pleasure to make your acquaintance (y/n) (l/n)!"

He sounds so nice, is he another Marine?

"Are you a Marine by any chance, Koby?"

"Haha... no... I do hope someday maybe, though!"

"Well, I hope you can become one, Koby, I bet you'd make a really good Marine"

Now it was Koby's turn to get flustered as you encouraged him, no one had ever said that to him except for a certain rubber man, smiling as he remembered his friend.

"Are we going to where Zoro's tied up?"

"Yeah, and we need to hurry, I heard Helmeppo lied to him and isn't going to keep his promise towards him and you, and that he's actually planning to kill you both"

Your eyes widen. Of course that motherfucking bastard wasn't going to keep his promise, why would he? You only met him once and you had already figured he was the spoiled brat type of person who could get away with anything, so of course he'd get away with stuff like this!

You turn to Koby as you both approach the exit of the dungeon after running up the stairs of said place for quite some time, the light from the sun blinding your eyes as you finally step out of that dark underground prison, you turn to Koby with a smile on your face, full of determination.

"Let's go save Zoro."
