Chapter 11 - Reencounter

Luffy.

Who would've thought that you'd hear that name again after years?

Fate really is a funny thing, huh...?

You were running alongside Koby towards where Zoro was tied up, listening to him as he was telling you more details about who Helmeppo was and what he was planning until you heard him say a familiar name in between his explanations. Luffy.

You stopped running, surprised, a mixture of relief, worry, happiness, and sadness in you as you heard that single word come out of Koby.

"L-Luffy...?" You ask, still in shock.

"Huh? (y/n)-san, what's wrong? Do you perhaps know Luffy?"

"Know him?" You laughed "Koby... He's my brother!"

Koby also stops running and looks at you stunned.

"I-I didn't know Luffy-san had a-a s-sister..."

"I-I didn't know he was still alive after all these years!"

Happy tears were beginning to decorate the corners of your eyes at the thought of reuniting with Luffy again after a decade. Even though the situation you were in sucks, it's still Luffy, who wouldn't want to see him?

"This way, (y/n)-san!" Shouted Koby after seeing you distracted with your thoughts, so much so that you almost went in the wrong direction, but you quickly managed to correct yourself and go towards the right way, unlike a certain someone would.

At that moment, the ground beneath you and Koby shook, followed by a large thump noise coming from the direction of the Marine Tower, and you noticed a giant fallen statue with its upper body missing.

'So that's what it was...' You thought as you saw the missing upper body of the statue on the ground, completely shattered.

"We don't have much time, let's go (y/n)-san!" Shouted Koby, getting your attention before you both jumped over the walls that were keeping you from seeing your friend.

"Zoro!" You shouted as soon as you saw him tied up to a T-shaped pole.

"(Y/n)! What the hell are you doing out here?!"

"Koby rescued me from the dungeon saying you and your ungrateful ass wouldn't budge unless I was out first!" You explained running towards him with your new-found friend to free him-

"Why the hell am I an 'ungrateful ass'?!" He questioned looking insulted.

"Because you refused Koby's help! You could've gotten me out later instead of being so selfish!"

You finally reached him and started untying him with Koby's help.

"But... I'm glad you're fine..." You said with a small smile while untying his arms.

"You should run away, Miwa-san, Zoro-san..." Koby intervened.

"If you free me, you'll end up executed" Warned Zoro, thinking of how he was a criminal now and how he was wanted by the Marines.

"I can't take this anymore, the actions of these marines... I want to be a marine that only does good deeds."

"Wait, why are we even being freed...? There are still 10 days left-"

"I didn't have the chance to tell you before, but Helmeppo wasn't planning on keeping his promise..."

"They were going to execute us tomorrow, Zoro" You said, completing Koby's sentence.
