Chapter 15: Unexpected Betrayal

Aurora opened the door of the bakery Unknown with the fact that something tremendous was waiting for her that will change her life forever

Until her eyes grew wide by the view infront of her. The whole bakery was ruined and messy, The once cozy, inviting shop was now a disaster zone, every inch of it wrecked. Her heart raced as her eyes frantically scanned the destruction, every single thing was damaged when suddenly the thought of her dad's well being striked her.

“Dad…” she whispered, sprinting through the house, calling him crazily with increasing desperation as fear consumed her to the core and not getting response everytime terrified her more each second.

The silence terrified her. Her mind went blank as panic took over, she lost the track of her doings, her legs weak beneath her as her hands trembled uncontrollably. She could barely breathe, her vision dimming, and dread tightened around her chest with all the worst scenarios possible

Her father was everything to her—she couldn’t even imagine a life, A day without him. The thought of losing him overwhelmed her as everything around her grew getting black causing her to feel dizzy, soon her her strength gave up on her legs,

Just after that she collapsed being vulnerable when someone caught her, her vision blurred due to the tears as the surrounding became cold while she Kept hearing someone calling her name, She felt a familiar presence besides her, I think dad came back, she thought 

"D-dad... Y-you came"she called him weakly everything went black.

"DAD!!" Aurora opened her eyes with a jolt sitting upright drenched in sweat, her heart pounding

She looked around to find herself on the living room couch, I think I saw a nightmare, she thought and sighed heavily thinking about it, trying to calm her nerves, It was terrific. She thought

The vividness of it, though, left her shaken. She barely had time to catch her breath before Mari rushed in, eyes wide with concern.

“M-mari…” Aurora began, but Mari engulfed her in a tight hug.

“Aru! Are you okay? I was so scared when you fainted—I almost called the doctor.”

Aurora’s voice quivered, “D-dad… where’s Dad? He’s okay, right? Mari, I had the worst nightmare. The bakery… it was destroyed and—"

Mari broked the hug and looked at her but her expression stopped Aurora cold. There was something apologetic in her eyes, something Aurora couldn’t understand.

"M-mari, W-what happened? Why are you looking at me like that."

“Aru… what you saw… it wasn’t a nightmare.”

She announced to her shock, Aurora laughed in disbelief

"You are kidding me right!! It's not true, I-it's not true. It's not True!! It can't be!!" She shouted In disbelief

"Why would I lie Aru!" Mari said softly looking at her

Aurora couldn't believe what she heard as panic gripped her again

She stood rushing to her dad's room then to the bakery with Mari chasing after her everywhere

She opened the bakery as her heart ached and her soul shattered at the reality, The reality which was worse than the nightmare—everything was ruined.

she sat of floor with a thud, tears started to flow like a river while she just stared at the blank, she can't understand what to do, What has happened, where's her dad, How's he? All this question surrounded her mind. when suddenly Mari came pulling her into a warm hug..
