Codey took one more glance back at the interior of the treehouse before shutting the door behind him, sighing. Astor had been more whiny and rude recently, and he didn't want to deal with it, so he was just going to go where he usually went when he wanted to get away from the treehouse- the void.

Out-of-bounds (or the void, as Codey liked to call it) was a large expanse of forest with some grassy clearings. Everything was just like a greyscale version of the normal map, but it was so much more dangerous; this was likely to deter others from going out of the map, but Codey didn't care much. It was like a safe space to him, honestly. It was so much more peaceful, and besides, he would usually just avoid any creatures he met there or even tame them in some cases, but that was usually just to bring them back and get back at Astor for his latest shenanigans.

Stretching his arms over his head, he let out a sigh, taking a deep breath of the fresh air outside before walking around to the back of the treehouse and trailing a clawed hand over the barrier separating the actual map and the out-of-bounds area. He wandered a bit further, keeping to the barrier until he finally got to the spot he usually entered, pushing his hand forward as he then glitched through, stumbling for a moment before steadying himself.

"You'd think by now I'd be used to that part.." The glitchy player mumbled to himself before looking around. Not very often, glitching through to the void would spawn him in a completely new place there. It was rare, but after it happened to him the first time, Codey had made it a habit to always check he was at the forest entrance before continuing.

"Maybe I should try and make a map for this place," Codey thought aloud as he took a step forward, "that would be useful."

There was this particular area in the void forest Codey would often go to when he came here. It was much more peaceful, with little to no void creatures around to attack him. He was just left alone with his thoughts there. So, like usual, he began to head there.

The walk there was fairly peaceful, except for the few entities that would spring out at him, but those were fairly easy to deal with. One hit with his hammer and they just despawned.

Eventually, after a bit, Codey reached his special spot. He wasn't expecting to see someone already there though...

"Oh! Hey, it's uh... It's you! Vivian, right?" He exclaimed excitedly- he had been wondering what that person had been up to ever since he met them. It made sense she would be here; it was quiet, and she seemed to like being on her own in quiet places. Plus, she had a void ferret as a pet, you can't find those things in the overworld. He couldn't help but wonder how she tamed one though... Oh, he'd just ask them later.

Vivian placed her void ferret down on her box, which was currently off, meaning her eye was visible. They just had a simple black ring as a pupil.

"Um... Yeah... You come to this spot too?" They queried in a soft voice, turning to face Codey but avoiding eye contact.

Codey nodded in response to this. "Yeah, it's the place with the least void creatures running around it. How about you? Why do you like it here?"

"Oh, it's just really quiet and peaceful and nowhere near as crowded as the town with all the NPCs and players there," Vivian answered with a little giggle, rubbing the back of her neck.

The taller, glitchy, eye demon shrugged at that. "Fair enough," he stated, sitting on a tree stump nearby before continuing, "You seem pretty cool, y'know that? Do you wanna be friends?"

The shorter player's eye practically lit up from excitement as they responded, "You mean that? You aren't just asking that to make fun of me?"

"Of course I do. You're pretty sweet, and I kinda need some friends anyway. One guy in the treehouse hates me, one of the others barely interacts with any of us and the only player there who talks to me is usually out with Astor.. Oh, that's the guy who hates me, by the way." Codey informed.

"I see. Well, I'd be glad to be your friend!" Vivian answered, holding out her hand for a handshake. At this, the other player flinched slightly, but he soon gave a slightly awkward chuckle and shook his eye.

"Oh, uh... Sorry. I don't really do physical contact.."

"Oh, that's fine! Air high-five?" Vivian offered instead, holding out their hand.

"Sure. Air high-five." Codey responded as he moved his hand forward and made a high-fiving motion in the air. He liked this person already, and he had only ran into them twice now.

The smaller player picked up Void, her void ferret, before speaking up. "Hey, I should probably get going now, but how about we make plans to go out at some point?"

Codey thought for a while. This was the only other person besides Walter who had actually invited him out properly, so it was unexpected on his part. He didn't see why not, though.

"Yeah, alright then, may as well. How about Thursday at 1 PM?"

"Sounds good! Alright, so... I'll see you later then? Codey, right?"

"Mhm, Codey. I'll see you then, Vivian!" He exclaimed as he waved to the other, watching her leave. He was rather excited about Thursday now.
