Codey paced back and forth nervously in the living room of the treehouse, a clawed hand raised below his eye as if he was thinking hard about something.

"What are we going to do now, Leo? First Walter gets killed by that bitch Stella, and now Astor's gone and stormed out for no good reason, probably to go and join his little girlfriend back at the Sparkle Squad or whatever they called it. It's only us two left here now- that isn't nearly enough to fight back against them if they try anything, we need to go and recruit more people.." The glitchy player lectured basically to himself as Leo wasn't listening much, just sitting on his phone on the couch.

"Uh-huh," Leo responded in a bored tone, having to stop himself from rolling his eye. He didn't care in the slightest, and to him, it just sounded as if Codey was rambling about something stupid again.

Codey looked at Leo and noticed how unbothered he looked. He let out a frustrated groan as his look became more of a glare. "Are you even listening?" He asked, feeling the most stress he had ever felt in this game since he first arrived here.

The other player looked up from his phone, looking incredibly disinterested. His answer was simple and short.

"Nope."

"Leo, please, this is serious! I don't usually care for stuff like this, so maybe now I'm actually concerned about it you should try and listen at the very least." Codey attempted to convince him before letting out a soft sigh and switching to a more pleading tone.

"I... I know I haven't exactly tried to get involved with you. We barely know each other, and it must suck for you that the others aren't here anymore. But if they aren't going to come back then maybe at the very least we could try working together?.. That's all I ask..."

"Codey, stop. Respectfully, I don't give two shits. I don't care about protecting the village or the NPCs." Leo started, sending one last text on his phone before standing up from the couch and pocketing it, "I only really stay here for a place to crash, and honestly, I don't even have much of a reason to stay here anymore. You said it yourself, we barely know each other. So why should I still live here?"

For a moment, Codey was speechless. A few awkward moments of silence passed before the tall player finally spoke up.

"Leo, what... What are you saying?"

"I'm saying that I'm leaving. There's no reason for me to live here anymore when the only guy who even interacts with me is at the Sparkle Squad's base." Leo scoffed, crossing his arms.

"You... You can't be serious, they're our enemy!-" Codey began, but before he could say anything else he was swiftly interrupted by Leo.

"They're your enemy, but not mine. Have you not once stopped to think about where me and Astor could have been going so often? It's so much better there than it is here. People talk to me properly about things other than work there."

The taller player was silenced once more. He just stared at Leo, stunned. He knew Leo didn't exactly enjoy it here, but to the point where it was better at the Sparkle Squad for him? He didn't realise the poor guy had been suffering so much living in the treehouse. Before he could say anything though, Leo just stood up and walked to the door.

"It doesn't matter now anyway." He stated, his hand on the doorknob, "And by the way, I was their spy."

Codey winced as the door was slammed shut without even a proper goodbye. Panic suddenly set in as he hurried out after the other player.

"Leo, wait-" He pleaded, only to stop himself as he saw a familiar-looking player, only in a different outfit from what he would usually wear. Standing there next to Leo, wearing a black and white suit paired with his usual over-the-knee boots, was Astor.
