A New Firelord is Crowned

                                                                                             -Zuko- 

                                    He sent Katara away, she seemed a bit nervous to see her father so Zuko told her to just go. He regretted it though, as he attempted to get his robe on and grimaced in pain.

    "You need some help with that?" Said a familiar voice from the doorway, Zuko turned around to look at the owner of the voice.

     "Mai." Zuko looked slightly puzzled."You're okay,they let you out of prison?" She started to help him with his robe.

       "My uncle pulled some strings, and it doesn't hurt when the new Firelord is your boyfriend." She say turning to look up at him, ready to kiss him. 

         "Mai, we need to talk. You don't seem to understand that we broke up, and to be frank, I'm in love with someone else. And she loves me back." Zuko saw her eyes blinking back tears, and he felt a pang of regret until he saw the anger flash in her eyes. "And Mai, we both know you lost feelings for me long ago. Your love is saved for a certain member of the Earth Kingdom." Her eyes widen in surprise. 

        "How do you know? I mean I know I can't deny it, but I kept it hidden." She asks carefully, and Zuko sighs before answering looking into her eyes.

          "You saw Haru, you spoke to him and never loved me again. Our love was fake." He says before walking away from her, she looks shocked that he even knew who it was.

              "I never told anyone his name, how did you know?"Mai was very surprised, There's no way Zuko could've found out the truth.

               "I'm alot smarter than I seem, oh and he'll be outside if you'd like to see him." Zuko pulls his hair up and walks out leaving Mai in shock before she runs out as if she was on fire.

                                                                                              ~Katara~

                                    Katara watched in the crowd as Zuko became Firelord, and she was in awe. Here was not just the man she loved, but a good man who cared for his people and the people around him, he was the perfect choice for Firelord. Katara smiled secretly to herself, and he was hers. Everyone around her began celebrating as Zuko spoke words of how he planed to govern the Fire Nation and political stuff like that, but all Katara could do was look into his eyes from the crowd next to her father and brother.

                              Little was Katara aware, but she was getting looked at from the stage, and it wasn't by Zuko, it was by Aang. He looked at her in awe, today was the day he was planning on confessing and couldn't wait the party to begin. 

                              Zuko finally announced the beginning of the festivities and Katara ran to get ready. Before stopping in her room she passed by Zuko walking alone in a hallway. He grabbed her from behind, spun her around and kissed her as passionately as he could. When he finally released she was shocked and grinning a goofy smile, he just continued walking as if it had never happened. Katara was smiling that goofy smile and she got into this plain light yellow dress and pulled her hair up. She couldn't stop thinking of the way his lips felt pushed up against her and couldn't stop smiling.

                           Outside again with everyone else she was stopped by Toph. "Alright Sugar Queen, why are you so happy? Wait don't answer,  a certain firebender finally confessed to you and you both realized you were madly in love with each other." Toph just laughed and slapped Katara on the back before she could even answer."Bout time, jeez I thought you'd never confess. Well go to him Sugar Queen." Toph smiles and pushes Katara in the direction of Zuko who was surrounded by Sokka, Aang, Mai, the Kyoshi Warriors, and her father. 

                      Zuko catches Katara's eyes and wave her over, Katara begins to walk towards the group and her handsome Firelord. Aang stops her, and begins to talk.

                       "Katara do you think we could go off and talk somewhere," Aang starts up. Katara begins to protest only to be stopped. "Congratulating Zuko can wait, this is super important Katara." He leads her away from the crowd so they could be alone in the palace. "You know, we kissed at the invasion, and things between us haven't felt the same, and well." Aang scratches his head in nervousness."Sokka approves and stuff, and well Katara I know that I'm in love with you and want you to be my girlfriend."
